Gaurav Khanna recently entered 'Lock Upp 2' and questioned his wife, Akanksha Chamola on disclosing their divorce without having any proper conversation.

For the unversed, in the first episode of the reality show, Akanksha confirmed that she was parting ways with the Bigg Boss 19 winner. However, as far as Gaurav is concerned, he did not expect this. Well, now, in the recent episode, Gaurav slammed her actions and revealed that they are still legally married.
Soon after Gaurav Khanna entered the Lock Upp 2 house, he warmly greeted everyone and said, "You all are rocking, guys, and I have also rocked." After this, he instantly turned towards his wife, Akanksha Chamola and without wasting a minute, he directly addressed the divorce revelation. He explained that they had only discussed, then why did she make it official. In his words:
"We just discussed it. No petition was signed, nothing is official."
Akanksha Chamola replied, "Because you went for Khatron Ke Khiladi." This reply didn’t sit well with the Bigg Boss 19 winner, who explained that he did not expect her to drop such a bombshell. Describing it as a ‘mess’ in his mind, he mentioned, "You dropped that bombshell on me just seven days before the show. Should I be doing the stunts there or manage the mess in my head? But it's fine."
Further, Gaurav Khanna also gave a bigger-picture to Akanksha. He explained that the way she portrayed their separation, made fans think that they got divorced more than a year ago. Gaurav also explained that ever since she has opened up about their divorce, netizens are making up their own stories, which is not fine to him, as they are still husband and wife. Gaurav Khanna was quoted as saying:
"We discussed it in May before I left for the show; everyone thinks that we've already been divorced for a year or so. They are saying, Akanksha was giving an audition in that show, and I was doing it for sympathy. I was so surprised by the way people have taken it. This is an open ground to party; they are making whatever stories they want and writing whatever they feel like. But I can't stand them saying anything against you because legally we're still husband and wife, and I am your husband, and I don't like it when people speak badly about anybody I have been with, or I am with."
During the entire conversation, Gaurav and Akanksha did not reveal anything about reconciling; however, it was very clearly visible that the Anupamaa actor is supporting his wife in every situation. Soon after the episode aired on Netflix, X (formerly Twitter) users believed that Gaurav Khanna and Akanksha Chamola are faking their divorce to get popularity. One user commented:
"Sab scripted hai, all pre planned.. Ignore kro bhaii. Nowaday's people will go to below the low for signing a show and do anything. Zero self esteemed, self respect to hai ni.."
For those who do not know, Gaurav and Akanksha have been together since more than 10 years; however, their journey was easy. Initially, they were heavily trolled for their massive age gap. Years later, when Gaurav did Bigg Boss 19, Akanksha was trolled for her decision to not have kids. Reportedly, the trolls deeply affected her. Even though Gaurav has been supporting her in this decision, the trolls left a lasting impact on her. As of now, there is no confirmation on whether Gaurav and Akanksha will stay together or part ways after her stint on Lock Upp 2.
