Ed Sheeran left his Indian fans overjoyed with his photo dump from his visit to India, while also giving his fans a glimpse of his new soundtrack, 'Sapphire'.
Edward Christopher Sheeran, popularly known as Ed Sheeran, is a popular British singer who returned to his Mathematics Tour after a brief break in India. However, it seems like as much as his Indian fans love him, Ed, too, loves India and his fans equally as much. The singer took it to his Instagram handle and once again shared a photo dump of his visit to the country.
Ed Sheeran is all set to release his next album, Play. The singer is a magician when it comes to music, and his fans have always been over the moon when it comes to a new track from the singer. Ed has given his fans a glimpse of several tracks from his album, including Sapphire, Old Phone, Camera, Symmetry, and several others. However, it was a clip from his photo dump on Instagram that really won the netizens over.
It was on June 2, 2025, when Ed Sheeran took to his Instagram handle and dropped several pictures from his visit to India. However, there was a clip in particular that really struck his fans. His short clip with none other than the King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan. The singer shared a seconds-long clip that showed SRK and Ed lipsyncing to Sapphire in an adorably funny way.
In the same photo dump, he also shared a picture from his coffee date with his friend, Arijit Singh. The two musical geniuses stood on a barge with paper cups in their hands. In the picture, they could be seen sharing a heartfelt laugh and lighthearted conversation, showing the close bond the two musicians share.
Apart from playing and meeting with several musical talents, Ed Sheeran also did something fun and got inked. The singer got 'Neelam' written on his shin in Punjabi. For the unversed, 'Neelam' is the Hindi name for Sapphire, and it is one of his tracks. He even captioned the picture, 'Permanent ink so you know the love is real."
Ed Sheeran shared another picture where he revealed that he had seen Rajamouli's directorial, Bhahubali, in the theatres. He added that he was thrilled to visit the set of the film and even got a picture of 'Bhahubali's' throne. He wrote, "I watched Bahubali in the cinema so flipped out seeing the set." The post has garnered over one lakh likes and hundreds of comments ever since it was posted. Social media users and his fans have expressed excitement over his upcoming release.
Earlier this year, Ed began his six-city 'Mathematic Tour to India' in Pune on January 30, 2025. Ed Sheeran performed in Bengaluru on February 9, 2025, at NICE Grounds. This concert also marks the singer's first performance in the city. After the show in Bengaluru, the Shape Of You singer performed in Shillong on February 12, 2025, at JN Stadium, following his final stop on February 15, 2025, at Leisure Valley Grounds, Gurugram.
