He said that he took “ownership” of his roles by adding his personal touches to each character that he played. On the other hand, while talking about his cancer diagnosis, Donald admitted that it was a difficult time for him.

However, Donald revealed that he never had to undergo radiation or chemotherapy. He also said that the whole experience had a significant impact on him. He stated, “I try to live my life as close as I can try to be that person, just nice to people and caring.” Following this, Donald went on to talk about his relationship with God after his divorce and cancer diagnosis. To quote the actor:

“I always had it, but I didn't think that I was ever enough of a Christian man. Because I used to get mad at myself with my PTSD and my dad. Listen, my dad was so cruel he would be in prison. So I grew up not knowing who I am, and a lot of times I didn't know who I am. So now I know who I am.”
