Dipika Kakar recently shared her health update after undergoing a surgery to remove a 13-mm cyst. The actress shared that she is still in a lot of pain.
Popular TV actress, Dipika Kakar is going through the hardest phase of her life. After battling stage 2 liver tumour last year, the Sasural Simar Ka actress recently went through a surgery to remove a 13-mm cyst. For the unversed, her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, a few days ago, had informed fans about the cyst. Reportedly, Dipika underwent the surgery on February 23, 2026. Now that she is back home, the actress gave an update about her health.
Recently, Dipika Kakar and her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim shared a YouTube video, in which the actress opened up about the entire surgery. She revealed that the operation went well and she has returned home. She explained that even though the doctor had asked her to be mentally prepared, she took some time to understand the process. Dipika Kakar was quoted as saying:
"The process went well, but last night we returned home. The entire procedure went smoothly. People prepare you that it might recur, but when it actually happens, the way it feels—it takes time to deal with it. It took me some time too. And it was so sudden because we found out and the doctor said, 'Let's get admitted on Monday.' Plus, in between, it was our anniversary."
Further, Dipika Kakar gave an insight about the procedure and revealed that before the surgery, she was very anxious and couldn’t stop crying. However, after doctors calmed her down, the surgery took place in the CT room, where they had burned the cyst. She explained that since the cyst was small, it was done in the CT room, if it had been bigger, the process would have been different. In her words:
"This time, when I was going in for the procedure, I was very anxious. I was crying a lot. The doctors calmed me down. This time, the procedure wasn't in the OT; it was in the CT room. It's a process called RFA, where they burned my cyst, and because it was very small, we were able to do it this way. If it had been bigger, the procedure would have been more difficult."
During the same vlog, Dipika Kakar also revealed that she continues to feel a lot of pain in the area of the surgery. She explained that whenever she moves, the pain intensifies. The Bigg Boss 12 winner also stated that when she regained consciousness, she felt immense pain. She concluded the vlog by thanking the fans for their prayers and love. Dipika Kakar shared:
"I still feel pain in the area where it was done. It's a pulling pain when I move. This time, when I regained consciousness, I felt a lot of pain. When I came back to my ward, I read comments and found all of you praying for me—that gives a lot of strength. Whenever I read your comments, I am just in tears."
For the unversed, Dipika is a popular television actress. She made her debut in 2010 with Neer Bhare Tere Naina Devi; however, her breakthrough came with Sasural Simar Ka. Further, she appeared in reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 and Nach Baliye 8, with her husband. In 2018, she rose to widespread fame after winning Bigg Boss 12. Most recently, she was seen in Celebrity MasterChef; however, she left it mid-way. Coming to her personal life, Dipika tied the knot with Shoaib Ibrahim in 2018. They welcomed their first child- a son, Ruhaan in 2023.
