In July 2020, Dianna announced her engagement to Kevin. Now that Dianna and Kevin’s alleged divorce made headlines, their wedding picture surfaced online. In the now-viral picture, Dianna was wearing an off-shoulder white wedding gown, and Kevin looked handsome in a black tuxedo featuring a white shirt, black studs and a black bow tie. Sharing the picture, Dianna wrote on Instagram:

The popular NFL reporter explained that for men, the proposal is the big moment, while for women, it’s not. According to Dianna, women consider their actual wedding day as the real big moment. Citing her own wedding day experience, Dianna shared that she was very sceptical on her wedding day. She was quoted as saying:
"I think when men propose, that's their wedding day. Like that's when you guys are all in. It's not really on for us yet. I think for women, the actual wedding day is the moment. So I mean, Kev (Kevin Goldschmidt) was all down, I was the one who was very sceptical. I was like 'Oh, i dont know. '"
In a February 5, 2026, episode of the Stugotz and Company podcast, Dianna Russini opened up about her hectic work schedule. Dianna, who is the New York Times’ top NFL reporter, shared that her busy schedule has had a bad impact on her personal life as well. She joked that someday her husband, Kevin, would threaten her with divorce. Humorously, Dianna mentioned that they will get divorced at the end of 2026. She added that their texting felt robotic. She was quoted as saying:
"Free agency, you rev up — you’re ready for it. Like: ‘I’m going to be committed to this for 12 days. I’m not going to sleep, I’m not going to eat, my family’s gonna hate me, my husband’s gonna threaten divorce,’ but we signed up for this. This I was not ready. We’re getting divorced at the end of the year. We’re going through it. He doesn’t even know who I am right now. We’ve never been more disconnected in our lives. Our text messages look like two robots."
Earlier, in 2021, in ESPN’s morning show, Get Up, Dianna shared that she is married to 'someone average'. Clarifying her statement, Dianna stated that they are both average together. The NFL reporter mentioned that she doesn’t post a lot about her husband. Dianna added that she might have shown off her husband if he had been more handsome. She also joked about parting ways with her husband on Christmas 2021.
