However, what has been catching everyone's attention is an incident that occurred in February 2026. The report states that Dianna Russini used her status as an NFL Insider to get out of a traffic ticket. According to the report, Russini was pulled over by a cop for texting and driving with her two sons in the vehicle. Nonetheless, instead of paying the fine, she said that she was trying to break the news of the Buffalo Bills' firing of head coach, Sean McDermott.

According to the report, Russini offered to arrange a call with the coach. Once the cop agreed, Russini called the coach, who got her out of the ticket, saying, "You should let her go, she's a good citizen.". Russini was quoted as saying:

"Do you want to talk to the coach? You should talk to the coach," Russini recalled. "I FaceTime the head coach. The head coach is in his office. He said, 'What's up?' I go, 'I just got pulled over, and I just wanted you to meet my friend, Officer Joe.'"
