Dharmendra Turns 83, Wife Hema Malini Pens A Heartfelt Birthday Wish

Veteran actor Dharmendra is a true legend born as Dharam Singh Deol in Punjab, in the year 1935 and became the pride of the entire nation. He is popularly known as one of the most good-looking men of his time. In a film career spanning over 50 years, the actor has featured in over 100 films including his iconic films Sholay, Seeta Aur Geeta – he went on to become one of the most celebrated actors of his time. As the star turned a year older December 08,2018, his family left no stone unturned to make his special day even more special. Dharmendra rang in his 83^rd birthday cake and blew the candles with his loving wife Hema Malini, daughter Esha Deol and son-in-law Bharat Takhtani. Esha shared a cute family picture from the celebrations on her Instagram handle and captioned it, “Happy birthday Papa.” Check out the post below:

Hema ji, regarded as the ‘Dream Girl’ of Bollywood penned a heartfelt birthday wish for her dream man. She took to Twitter and wrote, “Happy Birthday to my everlasting love, the dearest father to my darling girls & proud grandfather to Darien & Radhya. A few days before Dharmendra’s birthday on December 05, 2018, he celebrated his birthday on the sets of Kanpur wale Khurranas. The actor was present there as a guest and the entire team including Aparshakti Khurana, Upasana Singh, Farah Khan and others tried to make it special for the star. Sunil Grover shared a glimpse of the celebrations on social media. He wrote on Twitter, “Happy Birthday Dharam Sir. Feeling blessed and lucky to celebrate @aapkadharam Sir’s 83rd birthday with the HE-MAN himself. Great moment, he cut the cake with us. Earlier in an interview, Hema ji spoke on her relationship with Dharmendra with BIG MJ Dilip of 92.7 BIG FM. When asked about a memorable phone call she said, “It was when Dharamji called me and said I love you,” and added, “Back in those days, it was very difficult as there used to be landline phones and you had to find a proper place to speak over the phone. Romance is a very beautiful feeling. The actress further shared, “It is not like you can express this to anyone. A lot of people might love you, but you can only reciprocate to the one who you truly love and that’s how it has been between us. It never happened with anyone else.”
