Musician Dennis Locorriere recently passed away on May 16, 2026, at the age of 76. The news was revealed by his management, stating that Dennis was struggling with kidney disease for a long time, leading to his sudden demise. The statement reads that Dennis was surrounded by his close ones at the time of death.
Dennis was mostly known for his association with the famous rock band, Dr. Hook. The group was launched in 1969. Outside the musical world, Dennis also had a family and was a father of two children, Jesse and Lily. Notably, he tied the knot thrice over the years. Keep reading to know more!
Despite being a popular face in the music industry, Dennis Locorriere preferred to maintain privacy for everything related to his personal life. Dennis was reportedly living with his wife, Claire Ann, in Sussex, England, for a long time.
Rumours stated that Dr. Hook was performing in New Jersey bars when Dennis and Claire met for the first time. The pair exchanged vows around six months later. Talking about Dennis Locorriere’s children, his son Jesse has established his career in a different field. A few reports claim that Jesse has been featured on some shows like Ozark and Nashville.
Before Claire Ann, Dennis was married to a woman named Susan. The marriage did not last long, leading to their divorce. His first marriage was to Maryanne. Dennis and Maryanne got married when the former was slowly establishing himself in the musical world during the late ‘60s and ‘70s. Notably, Locorriere’s son, Jesse, was born from his marriage to Maryanne.
Also known as Dennis Michael Locorriere, he built a big fan base with his contributions to Dr. Hook. During his time with the band, they released multiple albums like Sloppy Seconds, Bankrupt, A Little Bit More, Sometimes You Win, Rising, Players in the Dark, and Let Me Drink from Your Well.
In 2000, Dennis Locorriere released his first solo album, Out of the Dark, with Track Records. He collaborated with the record label for another time and released another album, One of the Lucky Ones, in 2005. This was followed by Post Cool in 2010. Dennis was additionally known for other projects, including Alone with…., Live in Liverpool, Post Cool Live, and The Voice of Dr. Hook.
Back in 2021, Dennis Locorriere said that he was the youngest member when he joined Dr. Hook. He revealed that two of their songs were also banned by the BBC, including The Cover of Rolling Stone. For the unversed, Dr. Hook split permanently in 1985. During his interview, Dennis was questioned about the possibilities of a reunion. Locorriere responded by saying:
“A Hook reunion today would have to be by séance. Five or six of them are dead. Rik [Elswit] is alive. George Cummings is probably alive but I haven’t talked to him in years. Ditto Jay David the drummer, ‘cos he got drunk and told us to go f*** ourselves at an airport one day and left us to do four gigs with our drum roadie. I remember that stuff. He doesn’t, apparently.”
