Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh's film, De De Pyaar De 2 has been making a lot of noise lately. The film, which hit the theatres on November 14, 2025, is finally out on OTT. Well, for those who don't know, the film is a romantic-comedy. It is a sequel of the 2019 film, De De Pyaar De. As the film is streaming now on OTT platform, read on to know the ending of the much-loved movie, directed by Anshul Sharma.
After a successful theatrical run, the romantic-comedy film, starring Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, R. Madhavan, Gautami Kapoor, Ishita Dutta and more, the film, De De Pyaar De 2 has been released on OTT platform, Netflix. It is worth noting that the film premiered on January 9, 2026.
De De Pyaar De 2 continues the love story of 'Ashish' (Ajay Devgn), who is 50 years old and 'Ayesha' (Rakul Preet Singh) of 26 years. While the first film focused on the couple convincing 'Ashish's' parents and his ex-wife, the sequel aims to convince 'Ayesha's' so-called modern parents. The film begins with 'Ayesha' going home for the delivery of her sister-in-law (Ishita Dutta). She plans to call 'Ashish' right after the birth of the child, to avoid extra drama.
However, things don't go as planned and her parents get to know about 'Ashish'. Within a few days, 'Ayesha' calls her beau and introduces him to her parents (R. Madhavan and Gautami Kapoor). While they seem modern on the surface, they are shocked to see that 'Ashish' is double 'Ayesha's' age. Eventually, the discomfort between the couple and parents turns into an emotional control and argument. And 'Ayesha' goes back to London with 'Ashish'. However, her father (‘Rakesh’) pretends to accept the couple and bring them back.
As 'Ashish' and 'Ayesha' return to Chandigarh at her parents' house, they find 'Adi' (Ayesha's' childhood friend). As the movie progresses, 'Adi' tries to win over 'Ayesha'. And while 'Ayesha' doesn't realise this, 'Ashish' understands 'Adi's' tricks and starts feeling insecure. Eventually, 'Ashish' and 'Ayesha's' father have a blunt conversation, in which R. Madhavan's character reveals that he is doing what is best for his daughter.
After the conversation, 'Ashish' leaves the room and to his surprise, he sees 'Ayesha' and 'Adi' kissing each other. When' Ayesha' notices this, she apologises to 'Ashish', but he tries to act mature and asks her to choose 'Adi' as he is of her age. Later, 'Ashish' goes back to London. While 'Ashish' is missing 'Ayesha' in London, 'Ayesha' proposes marriage to 'Adi'. Later, she calls 'Ashish' to inform about the same. This makes him realise his true love and heads back to Chandigarh to cancel the wedding.
On the other hand, 'Ayesha's' father realises his mistake and plans to bring back 'Ashish'. Towards the end of the film, 'Ashish' and 'Rakesh' both try to cancel the wedding. While they are convincing 'Ayesha', they and viewers get to know that whatever happened till now was all a plan, 'Ayesha' had overheard the conversation between 'Ashish' and her father and decided to plan everything with 'Adi', so that she can make 'Ashish' a man, who doesn't let her go easily. 'Ayesha' joined hands with all her siblings and her mother to go against 'Rakesh'. The film ends with 'Ayesha's' family gives a nod to get them married.
