'Danny Go' Creator, Daniel Announces Son's Death, Pens Heart-Wrenching Note, '14 Years Were..'

Daniel Coleman, the man behind the popular children's series, Danny Go, is going through a tough phase as he navigates the loss of his 15-year-old boy, Isaac. For the unversed, Daniel and his wife, Mindy, are parents to two boys, Isaac and Levi. A while back, the Danny Go creator announced the heartbreaking news of his older son, Isaac’s death. Daniel and Mindy had welcomed their first son, Isaac, in 2011.

Daniel Coleman penned a heartwrenching note announcing his older son, Isaac's death

A while back, the Danny Go creator, Daniel Coleman, took to his Instagram handle to share the devastating news of his older son, Isaac’s death. Danel expressed his pain over Isaac’s passing and shared how much he missed him. On April 21, 2026, Isaac tragically passed away after fighting a long battle with cancer. Daniel wrote:

"Isaac Daniel Coleman10/3/11 - 5/21/26. Oh my sweet boy. There’s so much I want to say, but I don’t know how yet. I already miss you so much, and the pain in my heart is far more than I can process. But looking through thousands of pictures and videos this past week, I’m also filled with tremendous pride. Your 14 years were full of so many challenges, but you met them all with such grit."

Daniel Coleman highlighted that his older son, Isaac, somehow kept his trademark joy in spite of all the health battles. He noted that his older son had a spark. Daniel added that being Isaac’s dad was the honour of a lifetime. Daniel’s emotional note can be read as:

"You somehow kept your trademark joy in spite of it all. You truly had a spark like no other, Isaac! Remembering how loved you were and how full of life your time here was gives me great comfort. Being your dad was the honor of a lifetime. I’m so proud of you and I love you forever. Rest peacefully, son."

Daniel Coleman's older son, Isaac, was diagnosed with mouth cancer in 2025

According to a report by People, Daniel’s older son, Isaac, was born with Fanconi anaemia, a rare inherited condition that affects the bone marrow and also affects other parts of the body. Thus, Isaac had undergone several surgeries and transplants since his birth. As a result of this disease, the little boy was diagnosed with mouth cancer that progressed to stage 3 in February 2026.

In December 2025, Daniel announced that his older son, Isaac, had been diagnosed with mouth cancer. On April 24, 2026, the Danny Go creator shared that the cancer had continued to spread aggressively, and the little boy’s energy level had also dropped due to this. Daniel added how he and Mindy had been processing through the tough phase as they saw Isaac fighting with cancer. He wrote:

"His cancer has continued to spread aggressively, and his energy levels have dropped very low. He has a hospice team onboard now to help manage the pain & we are just doing our best to make each day as enjoyable and restful as possible for him. Mindy and I are heartbroken watching him decline, knowing how frustrating and scary this must be for him. But we’re trying to hold it all together & keep soaking up the time we still have with our boy."

Daniel Coleman and his wife, Mindy Coleman, have been together since 2009. They welcomed their first son, Isaac, in 2011 and, in 2015, completed their family by welcoming their second son, Levi. After four years, in 2019, Daniel and Mindy launched Danny Go, a live-action YouTube children’s educational show.
