Dalljiet Kaur's ex-husband, Shalin Bhanot, spoke about one of the toughest phases of his life. This was after his divorce from Dalljiet, which did not happen at all in the healthiest manner. The actor became vulnerable when he remembered how his marriage had ended, and everything around him had just collapsed. Shalin shared of feeling how he felt that his life had ended as he was distressed.
Dalljiet Kaur's ex-husband, Shalin Bhanot, sat down for an interview with Paras Chhabra for the Abraa Kaa Dabra Show. The actor revealed that after his separation from Dalljiet Kaur, he felt as if his life had ended. He had no choice but to return to his hometown in Jabalpur. Shalin was distressed, felt hopeless, broken and shared:
"Aisa laga tha ki life khatam ho gayi hai.
Shalin constantly felt that his life was not going well after his separation and that his whole world had collapsed. Calls and messages from the media had not left Shalin when he reached his hometown in Jabalpur. Shalin looked back at those difficult days when he had separated from his ex-wife, Dalljiet. He felt helpless because the media had made him feel that way. Shalin Bhanot further revealed that he used to go to the temple every day when he was staying in Jabalpur. The actor shared a story about telling God that his dreams had been shattered. He agreed to have been overwhelmed with a lot of constant phone calls. There was a point when he had completely stopped answering the same.
Dalljiet Kaur's ex-husband, Shalin Bhanot, felt judged and felt that people were more curious about his personal life than his body of work. Well, the constant attention in his personal life had made the actor feel very hopeless. Shalin revealed that the reason he went away to Jabalpur was that he felt very helpless and judged by the people around him. In his words:
"Main bahot hatash ho ke Jabalpur chala gaya."
Dalljiet Kaur's ex-husband, Shalin Bhanot, further revealed in the interview that when he had lost hope in life, he had visited temples in Jabalpur. It was during that time that the actor got a call regarding a TV show offer. He had the opportunity, however, despite having the same, he could not come back to Mumbai. This is because he did not have a place to stay.
Shalin revealed that the turning point came in his life when the show was offered, and he was not sure of how he would take it as he did not have a house to stay in Mumbai. Shalin was further asked why he did not have a house in Mumbai, to which he shared that, post his breakup with Dalljiet, he had struggled to find a home. However, he was not able to get accommodation in Lokhandwala, Mumbai, as a single person, owing to the separation.

Back in 2014, the marriage of the ex-couple had hit a rough patch, and it was in 2015 when both of them had opted for a divorce.
