Their unexpected meetup led many to question if they are the new couple in town.
It is worth mentioning that MGK is not the first man Dakota has been linked with. At one point, the actress also sparked affair rumors with Jamie Dornan.

The duo’s portrayal was so realistic that it led many fans to believe they were having an affair off-camera. Dakota had previously admitted that in reality, she and Jamie had developed a deep friendship while filming the three movies.
She credited her co-star for effectively helping her portray the role of ‘Anna’ as a passionate lover to a perverted billionaire. The trust between them also helped the actress get through her many intimate scenes with Jamie Dornan.

He said that he received photos of a child he didn't know. The person claimed that his wife should know that he has a kid who is seven years old. He added:
“I think they were trying to say that the kid was mine and Dakota Johnson’s, and we’d had this baby while we made the first Fifty Shades movie. It piqued our interest, let’s say. It was a bit freaky.”
On September 11, 2026, Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly were caught arriving separately at Taylor Swift’s Tribeca apartment. According to reports, the pair spent some private time there together. Dakota was the first one to arrive at the apartment in a black SUV that entered the building’s garage. Machine Gun Kelly arrived around 30 minutes later and was escorted inside by the actress' security. The duo was also seen heading to Dakota’s hotel later.
In July 2026, Dakota and Machine Gun Kelly were seen attending Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding. While Dakota has been friends with the pop star for a long time, not much is known about her relationship with MGK. What made Dakota and Kelly’s outing even more intriguing is that several media outlets reported that Taylor was not in New York when the two were seen at her apartment. Instead, Taylor and Travis were spending time together in Kansas City that same night.
As of now, neither Dakota nor MGK has confirmed that they are dating. However, this has not stopped fans from shipping the two, especially since Dakota recently became single.
