Cristiano Ronaldo is all over the news as he becomes the oldest World Cup knockout goalscorer in Portugal's match with Croatia at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, finally breaking the 24-year drought. However, the football superstar's personal life is drawing just as much attention for his upcoming nuptials with his longtime partner (now fiancée), Georgina Rodríguez.

The couple has been together for nearly a decade, and after years of marriage speculation, Georgina finally confirmed their engagement almost a year ago by showing off her stunning diamond ring on social media. Ahead of their much-awaited wedding, here's a closer look at the couple's blended family, their five children, and the journey that has made them one of football's most followed couples.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez have been together for almost a decade

After a tumultuous love life and broken relationships, Ronaldo finally found the one at a chance meeting with Rodríguez in 2016. The latter worked as a sales assistant at a Gucci boutique in Madrid when one day, Ronaldo walked in, and the rest is history. What started as a chance encounter soon blossomed into one of football's most high-profile relationships.

Ronaldo and Georgina made their public debut in early 2017 and have remained inseparable ever since. Over the years, they've built a family together while living across Spain, Italy, England and Saudi Arabia. After years of wondering when the couple would take the next step, Georgina finally announced their engagement in 2025. Taking to Instagram, the influencer shared a picture of a colossal oval diamond (somewhere between 30–37 carats) in August 2025, announcing their engagement, writing, "Yes I do. In this life and all my lives."

Although the couple has yet to reveal a wedding date, they are now preparing for the next chapter of their relationship.

Meet Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez's five kids

Cristiano Ronaldo was already a father when Georgina came into his life, and the latter has accepted the child wholeheartedly as one of her own. The footballer's eldest son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., was born in 2010, but the identity of his mother has never been publicly disclosed. The 16-year-old has followed in his father's footsteps and has represented Portugal's youth football setup. He also trains in Real Madrid's academy system.

Ronaldo welcomed twin girls, Eva Maria and Mateo, in June 2017, just months after he and Georgina publicly confirmed their relationship. The twins were born via surrogacy, and it was only months before their arrival that their dad started dating the influencer. The siblings are often seen in family celebrations and frequently appear in Georgina's social media posts alongside their brothers and sisters.

Just weeks after Eva and Mateo's arrival, Ronaldo announced that he and Georgina were going to have their first biological child together. The couple welcomed their daughter, Alana Martina, in November 2017, and the footballer proudly shared a photo of the new mom holding her newborn as he and Cristiano Jr. stood by her bedside.

Ronaldo's fifth child (second with Georgina), Bella Esmeralda, arrived in April 2022 alongside her twin brother, Ángel. However, the latter tragically passed away during childbirth. Speaking about losing his newborn, Ronaldo later revealed in an interview that his children have kept Ángel's memory alive.

Georgina may not be a biological mother of Cristiano Jr., Alana, and Bella, but she is every bit the doting mom of the family. Now a successful model and entrepreneur, Georgina often shares wholesome family moments on social media, and with five children, the couple has set a close-knit family that sets an example for millions.

When is Ronaldo and Georgina's marriage happening?

While the couple has yet to officially confirm the date, a report by Hola! revealed that they are likely to get married in September 2026. Ronaldo himself had previously told the publication that he and Georgina would tie the knot after the World Cup. He also mentioned that he hoped to arrive at his wedding with the Champions Trophy.

Journal da Madeira also reported last year that the couple's wedding might take place this summer in Funchal Cathedral, known as Se Catedral de Nossa Senhora da Assuncao, situated just two miles away from where Ronaldo was born and close to Nacional da Madeira field, where he began his journey as a football player.

While wedding buzz continues off the pitch, Ronaldo remains focused on Portugal's World Cup campaign. The veteran captain, 41, has once again led from the front, creating history with his July 2, 2026, knockout against Croatia, shattering the 24-year curse with his historic penalty in the second half.

And like always, his family remained the football legend's biggest cheerleaders from the stands.
