Indian skipper, Kannur Lokesh Rahul, popularly known as KL Rahul, often hit the headlines for his spectacular performance on the cricket ground. Apart from that, he has garnered a lot of limelight for his alleged relationship with Bollywood actor, Suniel Shetty's daughter, Athiya Shetty. The two have been painting the town red with their PDA moments and social media banters.
The lovebirds have often been spotted together at events and holidaying at unknown places. Thus, KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty's dating rumours had been coming in for the longest time and their fans were eagerly waiting for the couple to put an official stamp on their relationship. After many rumours and speculations, KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty finally took a notch higher and made their relationship official on social media with two unseen pictures.

On November 5, 2021, Bollywood actress, Athiya Shetty turned a year older. On this occasion, her alleged beau, KL Rahul took to his Instagram handle and posted two cosy pictures as a birthday post for her and made their love official. Along with the adorable picture, the cricketer wrote:
"Happy Birthday My @athiyashetty."
As soon as KL Rahul posted the unseen pictures, it went viral in nanoseconds and we can't get enough of it. The cosy pictures left the internet berserk and their fans were swooning over them. However, it was not just their fans, but also the prominent names from the industry who showered heaps of love on the adorable post. Among them was Anushka Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Sania Mirza, Athiya's dad, Suniel Shetty and her brother, Ahaan Shetty, to name a few.
On November 5, 2020, KL Rahul had taken to his Instagram handle and had wished his ladylove, Athiya Shetty on her 28th birthday. The KXIP batsman had shared a beautiful sun-kissed selfie with Athiya, and the two had looked way too adorable as they had twinned in black. Along with the photo, KL Rahul had written:
"Happy birthday mad child," followed by a black heart in the caption.

In the picture, we could see the birthday girl's head leaning on her rumoured beau, KL Rahul's shoulder and the cutesy picture had simply made their fans go crazy. Soon, Athiya had dropped a white heart in the comment section. KL Rahul had also shared a rare and adorable photo of Athiya from her childhood days and one from her cake cutting ceremony on his IG stories.
A few months back, Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul had featured in an eyewear advertisement together and had looked dapper in the promotional creatives. In an interview with the Bombay Times, Athiya's father, Suniel Shetty had said that he thinks that Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul look good together. Stating the same, he had said:
"I think they look brilliant together. They are a good-looking couple, na? So, it totally works from a brand perspective. And I must say, they look good together, well, in the ad."
