According to her bio, she had been with the network since 2019. However, before that, she was the star face of ESPN from 2011 to 2017, anchoring for SportsCenter and SportsNation. During her time there, she became the first woman to host the network's coverage of the Indianapolis 500 on ABC.
Apart from her work on live TV, she also hosts a podcast called Things No One Tells You with Lindsay Czarniak. However, that is not all; the super talented Lindsay Czarniak also has worked as an actress. Yes! You read that right: a fan of theaters, Czarniak appeared in the 2000 action film Aquarius. She was once again cast in the horror film Ghosts Don't Exist, where she played the role of a news reporter.
Talking about her personal life, Lindsay Czarniak is married to the TODAY show host Craig Melvin. According to The Washington Post, Czarniak was a sports journalist for WRC when she met Melvin for the first time. She was away on assignment covering the 2008 Olympics in Beijing when Melvin joined the network as a news anchor. Upon returning, she introduced herself to her new colleague during a commercial break.
While romance didn't bloom instantly between the two, they initially became friends and started hanging out. It was a few months later that Craig Melvin asked Lindsay Czarniak out for drinks. While she was reluctant, she agreed to meet Melvin. She told the newspaper:
"That night when we met, there was something that clicked. And it wasn't necessarily that I knew, 'I have to be with this guy.' But it was like, 'I don't want to be with anyone else that I'd hung out with.' It felt like being with the person that really gets you and that you've known for a really, really long time."
Craig Melvin and Lindsay Czarniak kept their relationship under wraps for months and eventually got engaged during a trip to Miami in 2011. The couple didn't wait long to tie the knot and exchanged vows at the Church of the Holy City in Washington on October 15, 2011. After the ceremony, the newlyweds traveled via a vintage Bentley to the Hay-Adams Hotel for the reception.
Over the years, Lindsay Czarniak and Craig Melvin have built a strong bond and a stable, happy home. The couple soon embarked on the journey of parenthood and welcomed two children together. Their son Delano "Del" was born in March 2014 and their daughter Sybil "Sibby" was born in November 2016. Czarniak talked about taking her kids to the 2023 Super Bowl with PEOPLE and said:
"The lasting image, for me, will be the confetti raining down and just watching my son be so happy and also my daughter just getting into it, because they're only at that age once, and so to have this kind of experience with them, it's just awesome."
