Courtney Stodden reveals she's satisfied with Jason Alexander's apology after he rubbed his phone across her chest when she was only 17 and making adult jokes about her.

For those who don't know, the famous reality star slammed Jason Alexander for crossing the line with her when she participated in a comedy sketch at the age of 17. Now that she is 31, she recalled how hurtful it was that she was treated like an object for an adult joke. However, she revealed that she is ready to accept Jason’s apology regarding the same.
During a conversation with TMZ, Courtney revealed that she accepts Jason Alexander's apology over the controversial comedy sketch they had performed. She said that she genuinely hopes that his apology came from a place of reflection. For those who don't know, Jason had issued an apology on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, after Courtney blasted him on Instagram over a sexually charged Funny or Die sketch in 2012.
In the sketch, Jason made a number of jokes about her breasts and sex. He also rubbed his phone across her breasts, with nobody on set to stop him. What made things worse is that Courtney was only 17 years old at the time. Sharing the photo on her Instagram, Courtney stated that while rubbing the phone, Jason stated that he could only find a signal across her chest.
Crossing the line further, he told her that he would take her behind the couch once she was an adult so that he could have his way with her. She wrote:
"I was 17 years old in this photo. The older I get, the more impossible this is to understand. During this comedy sketch, Jason Alexander repeatedly rubbed his phone across my breasts while saying there was ‘no signal’ in my head but ‘plenty of signal’ in my chest. Later in the sketch, he joked that when I turned 18 he’d like to take me behind the couch and ‘have his way’ with me."
Courtney revealed that Jason was credited as one of the writers for that episode. Now that she is an adult, this fact has made it even harder for her to understand. She claimed that with her being a minor at the time, she had no legal power to decide whether she wanted to participate in that sketch.
After Courtney rewatched Julia Roberts’ film, Pretty Woman, where Jason had played a scumbag womanizer, it took her all the way back to the trauma she had faced because of the crass sketch in 2012. Although it triggered her a lot, now she wants Jason’s apology to create change. She said:
"I believe the most meaningful apology is one that creates change. I would encourage him to support and donate to Unchained At Last, an organization I'm proud to advocate alongside that is leading the fight to end child marriage in the United States."
Courtney Stodden slamming Jason Alexander had brought fresh spotlight to the incident that happened over a decade ago. This also led the actor to face a lot of backlash from social media users. As it continued, he apologized for the whole thing. He said:
"Looking back at the comedy sketch in which Ms. Stodden and I participated in 2012, I completely agree that it was inappropriate and I truly regret it. But more importantly, I am deeply sorry for any harm or distress it has caused Ms. Stodden. I offer her my sincerest apologies."
