Pop sensation, Cher, turned emotional after she got to know about her teenage granddaughter, Ever, from her son, Elijah Blue Allman's troubled past.
Goddess of Pop, Cher, is back in the news and this time for a surprising reason. The iconic singer recently discovered she has a 15-year-old granddaughter named Ever. The discovery happened a year back following a confrontation with former model Kayti Edwards. Cher’s teenage granddaughter is the daughter of the singer’s son, Elijah Allman, and Kayti Edwards.
During an interview with the US Sun, Kayti Edward revealed that Cher got in touch with her in June 2025, and it was then that she confessed about the rumours. Cher reportedly mentioned having heard about the rumours from her son but chose to ignore as she thought that it was just a ‘crazy talk’.
After Allman’s hospitalisation following an overdose, Cher got in touch with Edward and discovered about her son’s child. When the pop icon learned about the news, she was speechless and emotional at the same time. She told her family, ‘Oh my God, I’m finally a grandma.’ Going further in the interview, Edward shared that Cher invited them to her Malibu home and treated them well.
Edward also shared that Cher was so excited to meet Ever that she couldn’t contain her happiness and became ‘childlike’. Speaking about the same, Edward said:
“She was lovely and kind and we had dinner. Cher asked Ever if she wanted to see her closet and showed her a pair of jeans she had worn in concert. It was a cool experience for her. She was like a kid herself.”
In the same conversation, Edward stated that she got pregnant after one night together with Allman. She stated that Allman knew about the child from day one, but he didn’t want to be a parent. She also claimed that he would come once in a couple of years and would vanish after saying a ‘hello’. Edward is currently married and is in a happy place.
She revealed that it was in 2021 when Allman texted her to make amends. After he was hospitalised post his second overdose in 2023, Allman came back into Edwards’ and Ever’s life. Allman asked to stay with her and escape Hollywood.
Cher, who is 79-year-old is dating a 39-year-old rapper, Alexander Edwards and is reportedly all set to marry him. Their relationship reportedly began with a brief meeting during Paris Fashion Week in September 2022. Soon they exchanged phone numbers and started texting. After dating for about two months, Cher and AE officially went public with their relationship in November 2022. Shortly after, Cher confirmed the romance on social media, posting a photo of him on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption "Alexander" followed by a red heart.
The pair made their official red carpet debut on March 9, 2023, at the Versace Fall/Winter show in Los Angeles. Since then, they have been seen together at various public events. The duo has a 40-year age gap, which has often raised eyebrows. Despite public scrutiny of their relationship, Cher has remained vocally unbothered. Defending their age gap and citing that love was beyond such factors, Cher stated that ‘Love doesn’t know math’.
In 2022, it was reported that Cher is engaged to Alexander. In March 2026, when Cher attended the wedding of her son, Chaz Bono, her massive diamond ring caught everyone’s attention. Additionally, sources close to Cher reported that she was planning a surprise wedding to coincide with her 80th birthday in May 2026.
