Chatha Pacha is a popular Malayalam film, starring Roshan Mathew and Arjun Ashokan. The film hit the big screen on January 22, 2026, and after a decent theatrical run, the action comedy is all set to premiere on OTT platforms. The film directed by Adhvaith Nayar revolves around Kochi's costume- wrestling culture. For those who missed the film in theatres, read on to know when and where to watch the film online.
The Malayalam film, Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies is an action-comedy film, which explores the world of underground wrestling. The story follows a group of people, who come together because of their shared love for wrestling. Eventually, they build their own wrestling club and participate in matches. Overall, the film blends humour, drama, emotions and intense action.
For those who do not know, the action-comedy film directed by Adhvaith Nayar stars Roshan Mathew, Arjun Ashokan, Vishak Nair, Ishan Shoukath and more. If reports are to be believed, the film also includes a special and powerful cameo by Malayalam superstar, Mammootty. It is worth mentioning that when the movie was released in theatres, it received mixed opinions from the audience.
The recently released film is all set to premiere to the OTT giant, Netflix from February 19, 2026, onwards. On February 14, 2026, the official Instagram page of Netflix took to their handle to announce the release date of the film. It is worth noting that the film will be available in multiple languages like Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. Along with the release date, Netflix also penned a powerful caption, which could be read as:
"The fight may start in the ring, but it doesn't end there. Onnum nokkanda, Chatha Pacha. Watch Chatha Pacha on Netflix, out on 19 February, in Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada."
After the release of the Malayalam film, multiple users had shared their thoughts on the film on X (formerly Twitter). While some appreciated the narrative and called it a ‘popcorn entertainer’, others felt the second half was too slow. One user commented, "#ChathaPacha is all about style, scale and screen presence. Well-crafted action scenes and solid technical values keep it engaging. #ArjunAshokan impresses, and #Mammootty’s walter moment is unforgettable. Worthy watch cinema in theatres." Another user wrote, "#ChathaPacha: The first half sets things up decently but the second half turns average with even the much hyped cameo failing to leave an impression. Overall disappointing experience...!!!"
Before the release of the film, the entire cast and crew of the film sat down for a candid interview, during which actor, Arjun Ashokan opened up about his role in the Malayalam film. In a conversation with Filmfare, he shared the reason behind doing the film. He was quoted as saying:
"I believe my childhood WWE craze really did a good job tilting me towards this role. Also, Mattancherry; that’s where my love of cinema started, where my career actually started (Parava). And my trust in the brilliant cast and crew for this project also motivated me to say yes."
