The duo has been the first couple from the franchise's first show, 16 and Pregnant, who have been together for almost two decades since the show premiered on MTV back in 2009. They have turned one of MTV's sensations and have a beautiful love story.
Tyler recently took to his social media handle and shared a before-and-after photo of his wife to show her transformation, as she is down 30 lbs now. Tyler is simply gushing over his wife, Catelynn, as the transformation is clearly visible through her hard work. Taking to social media, Tyler shared a collage of Catelynn, showing her weight loss. In the caption, Tyler revealed that his wife is beautiful, adding that she had lost 30 lbs. Sharing the jaw-dropping transformation, Tyler wrote:
"Can we just take a moment to acknowledge how beautiful my wife is!? She’s down 30lbs & I’m so beyond proud of her! This is what we should all be talking about in regard to our Halloween photos.”
Catelynn Lowell has never openly talked about her weight issues; however, she had opened up about the body-shaming that she had to face. During a 2023 episode of the Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, Catelynn Lowell revealed that she gets angry thinking she would be bodyshamed in front of her kids, as she, in no way, wants her kids to think that it's okay to be treated like that. Stating that she'd be gone if she ever got such a body-shaming comment in front of her kids, Catelynn mentioned:
“If I was ever being body-shamed or called out of my name in front of my kids, I would be gone. Because I don’t want my children to think that that’s okay to be treated like that. So that’s kind of why I get angry.”
Catelynn Lowell also spoke about the body-shaming that her daughters get. Speaking about he same, her eldest daughter, Carly, whom she and Baltierra placed for adoption in 2009, Lowell said that it's just ridiculous to see how grown-ups comment on minors' and children's bodies.
Catelynn further talked about her daughter, Nova, being skin-shamed by social media users. It's obviously 'wrong,' as Lowell felt, the way people comment on Nova, calling her skinny and suggesting that she should start eating cheeseburgers. Sharing how her 11-year-old daughter gets bashed on social media, Catelynn said:
“Saying that she looks like a skeleton, or she needs to eat cheeseburgers, or she’s too skinny. [My daughter] Nova gets the same crap. It’s disgusting — aren’t we grown here?. Do you guys not realize that people can be skinny-shamed? It’s not just, like, a fat thing. Skinny people can be shamed too, and it’s horrible. Knock it off.”
Tyler Baltierra and Catelynn Lowell were high school sweethearts. The duo met in class seven in their music class. Tyler was in awe of Catelynn, and they fell in love. The duo revealed that everyone told them they wouldn't last; however, it's been decades that they have been together. The couple welcomed their first kid very early.
For those who don't know, Tyler and Catelynn's parents fell in love with each other, got married, and parted ways in 2013. Speaking of Tyler and Catelynn, the couple got engaged in 2014. It was in 2015 that the couple welcomed their second baby and got married.
Two years later, in 2019, Tyler and Catelynn welcomed their third baby. The couple's fourth child was born in 2021, and before that, in 2020, Catelynn had a miscarriage. However, eventually the couple overcame their tough phase in life and turned their life into a fairytale one.
