Bollywood Actress Asin Thottumkal Marries Micromax CEO Rahul Sharma

The wedding season in January 2016 has started with a bang! And, the latest to join the wedding bandwagon is none other than Bollywood actress Asin and Micromax CEO Rahul Sharma. They tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on January 19, 2016.

It was a very private affair with only close friends and relatives been invited for the functions. To respect her religion, Asin wanted a Christian wedding. And, it was held on January 19 in the morning, at a makeshift church which was constructed inside the hotel premises of Dusit Devarana. Asin looked gorgeous in an off-shoulder gown designed by Vera Wang, and Rahul too, complemented her perfectly in a dapper black suit. Actor Akshay Kumar, who played Cupid for these two lovebirds was the best man at this intimate affair.

A close relative of Rahul said:

“It was a beautiful wedding. Everyone looked amazing. It was Asin’s idea to have a Catholic wedding. We all are very happy.”

Delhi-based music group, Elohim Worship band performed at the wedding. A band member said:

“Everything went great at the wedding. We played 2-3 songs. Asin looked beautiful in her white gown. We had a rehearsal yesterday.”

The Hindu wedding took place in the evening. And boy, it was a typical North Indian wedding complete with pheras and jai mala ceremonies. The groom ditched the white horse, and came in an open car to take his dulhania.

Asin looked stunning in a Sabyasachi golden lehenga with intricate embroidery and matching jewellery. We loved the mehendi on her hands. Rahul too looked completely regal in his white sherwani.

A get-together is expected to take place tomorrow at Rahul’s farmhouse in Delhi. The couple will also hold a reception in Mumbai on January 23, 2016.
