Big Brother returned with its 28th season on July 9, 2026, on CBS. 16 new houseguests are living together under surveillance for 24 hours. For about 10 weeks, they will compete in challenges, form alliances, and vote each other out, with one person winning the grand prize. This season follows the same format fans know, which includes weekly Head of Household, Power of Veto, and live evictions. The twist this year is a Time Trip theme.

The last week of Big Brother Season 28 brought something unexpected, with Rick Devens’ nomination turning into one of the messiest and most dramatic moments in the show’s history. A lot of unknown facts were revealed in terms of gameplay. Considering that the real faces came out, some kind of dispute was expected to happen.

As per the latest reports, a normal atmosphere inside the house was derailed by a confrontation aimed at Jason. Mallory hosted a “tea party” for the whole house on July 26, 2026 (ET), but Kamu took the chance while everyone was together to go after Jason directly and set up the backdoor plan he has for the next day. Kamu cut off the light mood, first saying Jason had changed since his game was exposed the previous week.

Kamu eventually brought up the past, claiming Jason had promised him not to use the Veto and had made the same promise to all three nominees. Most importantly, he said Jason had told both his own group of him, Chuk, and Haley and the group of Angela, Dee, and Devens that he planned to target the other side, basically trying to pit the “Toolshed” alliance against itself.

It wasn’t Jason’s first reality TV blowup, even this season. He pushed back, while also owning up to how chaotic his gameplay was. Lala jumped in too, pointing out why they were both targets and why Jason was being criticised for moves everyone else makes. After a long, uncomfortable silence, the tea party wrapped up with everyone walking away and leaving Jason alone in the backyard, as things fell apart for him again.

New episode of Big Brother Season 28 witnessed a lot of other unexpected things happening inside the house

The 10th episode of Big Brother Season 28 featured the Head of Household nominating three contestants for eviction. Angela was watching everyone, but Drew and Barrett were still a problem. She doesn’t think they’re really with the group, which is true. But they’ve still voted with the Crossovers and haven’t turned in a big vote, so that was enough for now. They acted loyal while talking behind backs.

On the other hand, Lyric’s go-to move is flirting. Devens and Dee saw Angela losing it and talked her down on the feeds. They begged her not to go after Drew or Barrett. Angela wasn’t imagining it, though. She saw Drew working the other side and getting close to Barrett. Barrett felt low in Toolshed and was pulling away from the Crossovers. Drew thought talking to everyone was smart. It looked sloppy, and Dee noticed the same.

The majority figured Drew already had them. Everyone forgot HOH was happening while they tried to figure out Melody’s eviction vote. They thought it was Lyric. It was Taylor. She hasn’t told anyone, not even her final two. That says something about Lala. Then the real thing came. Watch a wrestling match and answer questions later. Mallory couldn’t enjoy it. She’s over her people being targets.

Kamu won, and he had Mallory and Jason as threats. He played mind games with both. He brought Mallory up to talk and asked who she was planning to target. Lyric did the same, distancing from Rome and hugging Kamu, who first picked Lala. Then he changed as he didn’t want Jason getting two chances off the block. He told Lyric that she would be a pawn. He nominated Lyric, Lala, and Mallory, who were not in his alliances.
