Avika Gor has decided to shift bases to Bangkok. Amid that, fans have begun to wonder whether the actress will also be quitting Indian TV for good.
Avika Gor rose to fame as 'Anandi' in Balika Vadhu and has since made a special place in viewers' hearts. The actress has a massive fanbase and often shares her special moments with her fans. Their relationship has always been candid and filled with love, so much so that she even got married to her now-husband, Milind Chandwani, on TV. So, when the actress announced that she and Milind had moved to Bangkok, it was obvious that her fans had many questions about her future in the TV industry. So, let's take a look at what we know about her future plans.
The Sasural Simar Ka actress, Avika Gor, and her husband, Milind Chandwani, have moved to Bangkok, a decision the former made to advance her husband's career. However, it has led fans to question what the move will mean for her own career in the TV industry. Avika confirmed the news of her move in a conversation with Hindustan Times. The actress told the outlet that they had indeed made the shift, and at the moment, she was focused on setting up their new space to her taste. In a candid conversation with Hindustan Times, she was quoted as saying:
"Yes, Milind and I have moved to Bangkok. We’ve even bought a house there, which I’ve been setting up as per my taste. Milind and I realised that it’s a better opportunity for him in terms of his work there. And honestly, for me too, it felt exciting."
In the same conversation with Hindustan Times, Avika Gor revealed that it would feel like a vacation to her. However, as she and her husband, Milind Chandwani, have always supported each other, it was the right decision for them. Reflecting on the same, she was quoted as saying:
"I would always feel like I’m on a holiday there, so why not? We have always believed in supporting each other in growing, even after dating for seven years. If I get a project that takes me away for months, he completely supports it. Similarly, I don’t think I should stop his growth either."
In the same conversation, Avika Gor asserted that she doesn't think that it is necessary for her to stay in one place. She explained how even when she was living in Mumbai, she would often travel to Hyderabad, Rajahmundry or Visakhapatnam for shoots. She shared how it made her realise that she doesn't have to be in Mumbai at all times to work. I have only been there for about a month now, and I'm mostly in Hyderabad or Mumbai because of work. When asked whether she is worried that shifting to Bangkok would affect her work. The actress said:
"The priority will always be my commitments because they are what made me who I am today. Everything that comes my way happens according to my schedule, so I don’t think that’s going to be a constraint ever. At the end of the day, when somebody wants to work with me, they should—and they better—make all the efforts for me. When I shared my decision to move, people in the industry were very supportive."
Avika Gor concluded the conversation by pointing out how, for the first time in her life, she was making all the decisions from the furniture to how the house would look by herself. She added, "Growing up, you live in spaces shaped by your parents or later your in-laws, but this is the first space that truly feels like ours." She mentioned that since her parents and in-laws are in India, her soul will remain in the country. She said she will soon be travelling for the Khatron Ke Khiladi shoot.
