The Punjabi actress slammed him a while back by sharing a cryptic quote from Miley Cyrus. The note came after Asim squashed Himanshi's claims of religious conversion, saying she was doing so to seek attention.
There is nonstop controversy between Asim and Himanshi. A while back, the actress took to her Instagram Stories to express her displeasure. In her note, she did not write Asim's name directly, but netizens were convinced she was taking a dig at him. Himanshi, quoting Miley Cyrus, wrote:
"I didn't talk badly about you. I talked about what you did to me. If that makes you look bad, that's between you and your behaviour. Because telling the truth about my experience isn't bitterness. It's clarity."
Himanshi's note also read that it was not her responsibility to protect someone's image, especially when they had no problem ruining her peace. The conclusion of her quote was, "Sometimes the truth only sounds harsh because someone benefited from the silence."
The controversy had started after Himanshi opened up about her relationship with Asim. She spoke about the religious differences between her and Asim. She mentioned that it was completely unacceptable for her to change her religion, while Asim squashed all the claims. He had mentioned that he had never told Himanshi to change her religion. In his words:
"I never asked anyone to change their religion. Not once. As a matter of fact, I was the one who pushed you towards fitness. You’ve been in this shape only after meeting me; before that, everyone knew how you looked. So please, don’t use religion as a weapon. It’s a deeply sensitive subject, and turning something so personal into a reason for people to hate me is immature and only shows how low you’re willing to go for attention."
Himanshi further stated that Asim Riaz would tell her about the positive aspects of her religion. He wanted her to understand and accept the same. She stressed the fact that it was completely unacceptable to her. There was nothing wrong with Asim, as Himanshi shared:
"He used to tell me the good things about his religion. Everyone tells you about those things; there is nothing wrong with that. They wanted me to understand it and accept it, but it was not acceptable to me. There was nothing wrong with him; he never misbehaved with me, but it was my own choice that I did not want to do something like that."
Earlier, Asim had slammed Himanshi and said he did not need anyone to build his career. He does not want her to take credit for something that she never did. Riaz had said, "Who has more money and who has less? Well, if you really want to know, the bank statements can settle that."
Asim questioned Himanshi's character and stated that money was never the measure of character. Character was always defined by how far one was willing to fall when one wanted attention, relevance, or a few more views.
It was on the sets of Bigg Boss 13 that Asim and Himanshi met and fell in love. It was in 2023 that they separated after four years together. Himanshi had shared that they had sacrificed their love because of their differing religious beliefs. Asim had then confirmed that they had parted ways due to differences in religious beliefs. Himanshi had felt that if she changed her faith, she would have betrayed God.
