Since the beginning of the show in India, Amitabh has been the face of it, and at the age of 83, he continues to take the ship of the KBC franchise forward in India. The superstar suffered an injury to his knee.
In the recent episode, Amitabh Bachchan opened the show while sitting on his chair. He shared his health update after suffering a knee injury during the shooting. Amitabh stated that he usually does his monologue standing at the centre, but due to a knee injury during the shoot, he slipped and fell with a loud thud.
It left his knee injured, and the muscle was torn. Amitabh added that he had a little difficulty standing up but assured his viewers that the injury was not severe and he would be fine soon. He said:
"Usually, I do my monologue standing at the centre, but today, I have a knee injury. Yesterday, during the shoot, I slipped and fell with a loud thud and injured my knee. It’s torn. So I had trouble standing up. I thought I would talk while sitting and then play with you standing up later. Don’t worry."
Amitabh Bachchan also added that he intended to stand up to greet and interact with other contestants during the main game as he tries to take rests between takes. Amitabh's treatment is being managed on set as he makes sure his professional commitments remain on track. The show broadcasts on Sony Entertainment Television and streams on its digital platform SonyLIV.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will next be seen in the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD. His character is the immortal Mahabharata warrior Ashwatthama in the sci-fi franchise. The first installment of the film was nominated in the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and Best Special Effects categories of the National Film Awards.
