Alison Hammond and David Putman’s first meeting dates back to 2023. Notably, the television personality booked David for a massage at that time, and the latter was working as a masseur. While it remains unknown what happened after their first meeting, the pair reportedly started dating at the end of 2023.
Although Alison and David have never revealed how the relationship started, it was unintentionally revealed in 2024 in an episode of This Morning by Hammond’s co-host, Dermot O’Leary. The episode featured Dermot claiming that Alison was not available anymore, who responded by saying that there was someone in her life and she was going to tell everyone about it.
The romance came into the headlines at the end of 2024 when Alison described David as a mature and sensible person. Alison also said at that time:
“The things he says to me… they’re just so lovely. It’s like a jigsaw, we fit and it all comes together. Yes, I’m 22 years older than he is, but if you saw us together, you’d understand. People have said to me: ‘We get it now.’”
Alison Hammond was once questioned about the wedding plans with David Putman. She responded by saying that her partner should be questioned about it. She further stated that they have not planned a marriage yet because they feel that they don’t need to, and they are happy living together. Alison still hinted at the possibilities and said:
“What I will say is, if he asked me tomorrow to marry him, it wouldn’t be a ‘no.’ That’s all I’m going to say to you.”
Latest reports have revealed that Alison Hammond and David Puttman have an age gap of almost 23 years. Alison already has a 21-year-old son named Aidan, and David has also formed a close bond with him. While there has been a lot of criticism for the age gap, Alison recently responded to the same in an interview, saying that people are going to talk, and it is their business.
Hammond said that although there are no chances of her and David getting married in the future, she said that they choose each other every day. Alison continued addressing how happy she was to be with David and said:
“I’ve got a lovely man in my life. It’s just easy. I think that’s when you know you’ve got something special. He just sees me for who I am.”
David Putman has pursued a career as a masseuse and model over the years. He is also active on Instagram with more than 2,100 followers.
