Scott Michael Foster and Carson Fagerbakke tied the knot on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Their wedding reportedly took place at the mediaeval Berkeley Castle in Gloucestershire, England. The couple exchanged their vows in front of 90 wedding guests, including Carson's father, actor Bill Fagerbakke, who is famous for being the voice behind ‘Patrick Star' in SpongeBob SquarePants.
For those who don't know, Scott met his now-wife for the first time on the set of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend eight years ago. While speaking to People, the actor revealed that they decided to choose the particular wedding venue because they enjoy travelling and really “love a castle.” He added:
“We were in the U.K. when we both realized we wanted to get married, so it felt fitting to come back for this moment.”
Scott revealed that as he and Carson were planning their dream wedding, they envisioned an unforgettable celebration with their friends and family in a location that would be both stunning and historic. The vibe that they went for was “classy, moody, and cinematic.” Scott shared that they “were so excited to celebrate with our friends and family and see them all dressed up and together under one roof.”
According to reports, their wedding festivities kicked off with a rehearsal dinner. Following this, Scott and Carson exchanged their handwritten vows in a ceremony that was officiated by the bride’s sister, Hannah Royce. A live illustrator was also present to capture all the numerous special moments throughout the day.
While walking down the aisle, Carson had Falling Slowly from the movie, Once playing in the background. She looked stunning wearing a Kim Kassas Couture’s romantic Isabelle gown. The dress featured a taffeta structured corset bodice with a dusted pink and silver embroidery. Carson completed the look with a Spanish tulle veil. She admitted that she immediately knew that the dress was “the one” when she tried it. She recalled:
“It was the first dress I tried on, and after several other appointments nothing came close. It was the only dress I’d ever had on a Pinterest board. I love the basque waist and the embellishments on the corset. I was drawn to the overall drama of the look.”
Speaking about their wedding day, Carson said that it was “the best celebration ever.” She and Scott shared their first dance as husband and wife to a mashup of A 1000 Times and You Are the Best Thing by Ray LaMontagne.
Scott and Carson got engaged in 2024. The actor reportedly got down on one knee on Christmas in front of their whole family. He claimed that she truly has no idea about his surprise proposal. As a married couple, Scott added that now he is looking forward to “sharing life with my best friend” and “going on this journey together.”
On the other hand, Carson said that she feels really lucky that she got a partner whom she can trust and love more than anyone else. She added:
“I'm excited to continue exploring with my favorite person. Always having him to share life with, both the good and bad parts.”
