In a candid conversation, the actor shared that instead of going big, the couple is planning a private, understated ceremony, surrounded only by their nearest and dearest.
The revelation has come after the intense buzz around Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt's wedding, with many even calling out the actor for getting married for the third time at the age of 61 years old. Aamir Khan spoke to the Deccan Chronicle and revealed that they have decided to have a simple registered marriage at their home, in the presence of their families and close friends. Aamid himself is known to keep things low-key and private, and it seems like Gauri shares the sentiment. He was quoted as saying:
"It will be a very simple registered marriage at home, with just both the families and really close friends. We both want to keep it very basic."
Aamir Khan is considered one of the three big Khans and has a massive following. The actor has been in the industry for a long time, which means fans expected to see many A-listers on his big day. However, with Aamir asserting that the wedding will be a close-knit affair, it remains unclear whether some of his closest friends from the film industry, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and other Bollywood colleagues, will be among the guests. The actor spoke to the news publication and revealed that he was currently travelling to the United States. However, the news of his marriage to Gauri Spratt was true. He further confirmed the wedding date as July 5, 2026 and was quoted as saying:
"I'm currently travelling in the US. The news about the marriage is true. It's on July 5."
The Dangal actor spoke about his relationship with Gauri Spratt at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit in 2025. Aamir Khan addressed the buzz around his relationship with Gauri and said that she brings a sense of calm to his life. The 3 Idiots actor called her an amazing person and said he was lucky to have met her. He was quoted as saying:
"She brings a lot of calm, steadiness. She's a really amazing person, and I am so fortunate and lucky to have met her. I am very fortunate that while my marriages didn't work, I am still very happy to have met Reena, Kiran and now Gauri in my life. They have contributed to me as a person in a very big way, and I look up to them in many ways."
