Aamir Khan married Reena Dutta in 1986, and at the time, he was still struggling to make a mark in Bollywood. The two remained married for 16 long years and welcomed two children, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan. However, in 2002, Aamir and Reena decided to part ways and got divorced after 16 years of marriage.

The duo never revealed the reason behind their failed marriage, but Aamir admitted that getting married at 21 while Reena was 19 was an impulsive decision. Aamir also admitted that he was too young to take the responsibility of being a husband and a father.
