Surbhi Chandna has been staying in the headlines due to her magical wedding festivities with the man of her dreams, Karan Sharma. The diva not only won hearts with her simplistic fashion statements on her special day, but she also added a unique touch to her wedding memories by dedicating a song, Kahaani Suno to her husband. And now, she spilled beans on what went behind the scene to record the song.
In a recent interaction with Bollywood Bubble, Surbhi Chandna talked about dedicating a special gesture to her husband, Karan Sharma, by voicing her own wedding song titled Kahaani Suno. The actress revealed that it was her hubby’s idea that she must sing a song on the lyrics he composed. Furthermore, the diva talked about the initial rounds of recording she did of the song and mentioned that she sounded absolutely hideous. In her words:
“I’ll tell you what Karan wanted me to sing a song somewhere in December. I said to Karan, ‘This is clearly not happening’. But he said, ‘No, I’m just penning down some lyrics, I want you to sing’. Then I thought that I didn’t want to say no to him. I was very nervous initially and then we recorded the song in our house. I sounded hideous, I genuinely did. I’m a very critical person and I said this is sounding really bad Karan, I’m sorry I can’t do this.”

Moving forth in the conversation, Surbhi revealed that after a few more rounds, when she perfected the song in a proper studio, it was her hubby, Karan, who requested her to sing the song while walking down the aisle. Reflecting on the instant love and appreciation her song got from the audience, Surbhi added that it was just a genuine attempt, since she is primarily and actor and not a singer. Calling it a gift for her hubby, Karan, Surbhi said:
“Karan said that he would book a studio and when we saw the output, I said that I want you to sing the song while walking down the aisle. But I didn’t know it would become a rage and people would love the song and love the way I sang. It was just a very genuine attempt, it was not that I’m a professional singer. My profession is acting and I’m an actor and I know what best I do is acting. I love singing of course that is my desire but that doesn’t make me a professional. This I did out of love and he wanted something from me and I gave this to him as a gift.”
Earlier, while speaking with Pinkvilla, Surbhi Chandna revealed what made her decide to keep her relationship with Karan Sharma a secret from everyone around, for almost 13 years. The actress revealed that it was very difficult indeed, since she was quite a popular face. However, she added that she kept on giving away ample hints, and even her fans had guessed about the same.

Further in the same interview, Surbhi Chandna walked down the memory lane and recalled the time that she crossed paths with Karan Sharma for the first time. She revealed that back in those days, she wasn’t an actor and had just completed her MBA and doing a job. On the other hand, Karan, too was prepping for doing an MBA in London. In her words:
“Maine kaha na main MBA kar rahi thi, main job kar rahi thi toh Karan bhi taab apna MBA London main kar raha tha. feel that… one fan has put and sent me a very nice pillow with mine and Karan’s photo. The phrase reads keep it private till the time it’s permanent, ayesa kuch ek phrase hain… I don’t know, I never thought about it. We have kept it like that because we liked it like that.”
