Siddharth and Aditi Rao Hydari got engaged in a private ceremony. However, the couple always kept their relationship away from the media glares. The past few weeks, reports about their secret wedding flooded the internet. However, Aditi soon confirmed that they had gotten engaged and not yet married. Siddhart opened up about his engagement and how he feared Aditi would say 'yes' or not.
Recently, at the Galatta Golden Stars event, Siddharth was asked about his engagement. The actor clarified that it wasn't a secret engagement, while many things that it was. His family and friends were invited to a private ceremony. The couple engaged at Sri Ranganayaka Swamy Temple in Telangana. He was quoted as saying:
"Many told me we had done this (get engaged) in secret. There’s a big difference between doing something privately with family and in secret. The ones whom we didn’t invite think it’s a secret, but the ones who were there know it was private."

Siddharth further revealed that he was scared whether Aditi would say 'yes' to his proposal, and that's what mattered to him. He also talked about his wedding date and stated that it is the elders of the family who will decide on it as it is a 'lifetime date' and not a shooting date. He said:
"These questions on how long it took (for her to say yes) shouldn’t be asked. The end result must be either yes or no, pass or fail. I was worried whether it would be a yes, luckily I passed. The wedding date will depend on the elders (of the family) and what they say. It isn’t like a shooting date I can decide on, it’s a lifetime date. It will happen at the right time once they decide."
On March 28, 2024, Aditi Rao Hydar shared a post on her Instagram handle and announced her engagement. In the photo, Siddharth was seen donning a T-shirt while he showed off his platinum band adorned with a centre-piece diamond. On the other hand, Adi was seen flaunting her double-diamond ring. Along with it, Aditi had written:
"He said yes! E. N. G. A. G. E. D."
Aditi and Siddharth welcomed the New Year 2024 together. The actress took to her Instagram handle and shared a collaborated post with Siddharth. In the picture, we can see Siddharth and Aditi posing together as they enjoyed their date at undisclosed locations. Aditi looked her usual best with minimal makeup. Along with it, Aditi expressed gratitude for the New Year and wrote:
"Happy, blessed' and grateful."
