Pakistani cricketer, Shoaib Malik celebrated his first Eid after nikah with Pakistani actress, Sana Javed. The couple left everyone in shock when they announced their marriage in January 2024. The famous cricketer was earlier married to ace tennis player, Sania Mirza; it is one of the reasons why people of both countries were left infuriated. Later, the same day, it was Sania Mirza's father, Imran Mirza, who revealed that it was his daughter who took khula (the Islamic term for women initiating divorce).
Sana took to her Instagram handle and posted two monochrome pictures with her husband, Shoaib. In the picture, Sana was wrapping her arms around Shoaib's neck as he looked mesmerised by her beauty. The actress was decked up in a saree, which was teamed with a sleeveless blouse. Sana and Shoaib looked super happy as they celebrated their first Eid. Along with it, Sana wrote:
"Eid Mubarak."

After divorce from Shoaib Malik, Sania continues to live in Dubai with her son, Izhaan. However, the former tennis player flew to her hometown, Hyderabad, to celebrate Eid with her parents. Sania's mother and father live in a palatial home in Hyderabad. For the morning celebrations, Sania donned a pink chikankari suit with matching dupatta.
On March 25, 2024, Shoaib took to his Instagram handle and posted a couple of pictures with Sana to wish her on her birthday. In the photo, Sana looked pretty in a floral kurta and jeans. Subtle makeup and soft pink lips completed her look. Shoaib wore a black T-shirt. Sana was hugging Shoaib in the picture as they posed for the camera. We can also see a flower bouquet kept on the table. Along with it, Shoaib had written:
"Happy Birthday Sana Shoaib Malik."
As soon as the photos were shared, netizens flooded the comments section with hateful comments. One user called their love fake, another called it a 'dikhawa'. One of the netizens also commented, "He should honestly be ashamed of Himself." Another commented, "Don’t know why these poses look fake just for pictures."
Sania and her family didn't talk about her divorce for long. However, after Shoaib announced his wedding to Sana Javed, the Mirza family spoke about the ex-couple's separation for the first time. On January 21, 2024, Sania's sister, Anam Mirza, took to her Instagram handle and shared a picture note on her behalf. She conveyed how Sania kept her personal life away from the media glares. She added that she separated from Shoaib a few months ago, and Sania wishes him well on his journey. Anam also said that it is a sensitive period of her life and requested privacy from fans.
Earlier, Sania's father, Imran Mirza, spoke to the PTI about the same. He shared that his daughter has taken a khula from him. In Islam, Khula is a legal term that refers to a form of divorce which is initiated by the wife, wherein she seeks a separation from her husband. Unlike talak, which a husband takes, Khula allows the woman to divorce her husband, giving them equal rights.
