For a long time, Priyanka Chopra's fans have been waiting for the announcement of Farhan Akhtar’s film, Jee Le Zara. For the unversed, the female-centric film, which revolves around a road trip, features Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. However, if the latest reports are to be believed, Farhan Akhtar is all set to cast Priyanka in his other much-talked-about film, Don 3, co-starring Ranveer Singh.

The third instalment of the Don franchise was announced in August 2023, and fans were seemingly upset with Ranveer taking over the mantle from Shah Rukh Khan, who played the lead role in the last two parts. Now, with SRK opting out of Farhan Akhtar's franchise, it is reported that Priyanka Chopra Jonas is back on board and will star in the upcoming Don 3. For the unversed, PeeCee is reportedly rejoining the Don franchise after SRK's exit, as the duo had stopped working together after Don 2, for the reasons best known to them.
While Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon were speculated to play the role of 'Jungli Billi', it seems like the part will be portrayed by Priyanka Chopra only. As per a report in KoiMoi, it is stated that owing to the delay in Farhan Akhtar’s film, Jee Le Zara, Priyanka’s schedule has been cleared. However, a source revealed that these dates have now been reallocated to her doing Don 3. The source was quoted as saying:
“Farhan Akhtar is now prioritizing Don 3 over Jee Le Zara as the male cast of Jee Le Zara is yet to work out. He will now go ahead full-throttle with Don 3 with Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra.”

As soon as the report was shared on Reddit, netizens flooded the comment section and expressed their emotions about Priyanka Chopra rejoining the Don franchise. Reacting to the same, one user commented, "This would be really cool if it’s true. rs and pc have really good chemistry with each other." Another comment can be read as, "Wait, so the plot and character history is gonna be the same, except we have to pretend SRK somehow transformed into Ranveer Singh?"
According to an old report in KoiMoi, it was stated that Farhan Akhtar waited for Shah Rukh Khan to agree to do the film, Don 3, for ten long years. A source close to the director revealed that the decision to find another actor as SRK's replacement was taken after SRK denied the role. Adding that Farhan could not even think of another actor for Don than SRK, the source had said:
“Aapko lagta hai ke Farhan kissi doosre actor ke baare mein soch bhi sakta hai? But Shah Rukh wouldn’t budge over his decision not to do another film in the Don Franchise. He felt he had given whatever he had to give to Don in his two Don films.”
