Pakistani Actor, Adnan Siddiqui Says Women Are Similar To 'Makkhi', 'Jitna Khawateen Ke Peeche...'

Popular Pakistani actor, Adnan Siddiqui has worked in Lollywood, Bollywood and Hollywood. He started his journey in the world of glamour in the ‘90s and has emerged as one of the prominent names in Pakistani showbiz. He debuted in Bollywood with the late Sridevi-starrer film, Mom. Moreover, he has also acted in Irrfan Khan and Angelina Jolie’s 2007 Hollywood film, A Mighty Heart. Recently, the actor landed in a controversy after he made some inappropriate comments during a show.

Adnan Siddiqui compares women with houseflies

Adnan Siddiqui appeared on Nida Yasir’s popular morning talk show, Shan-e-Suhoor. While he was conversing with the host, suddenly a fly came out of nowhere and sat on his hand. This led the actor to compare women with ‘makkhi’ (houseflies). Sharing his thoughts on why women and houseflies are similar, Adnan said:

“Makkhi ka mithaas se koi taluq nahi hai. Main ek baat karne laga hun, iska bura nahi maniyega jitni bhi khawateen (women) hai. Makkhi aur khawateen ki misaal ek jaisi hai, aap jitna khawateen ke peeche bhagenge utna wo dur bhagegi aapse aur aap jab aise baithenge toh haath pe aake baith jaigi jaise makkhi baith gayi thi.”

When Adnan Siddiqui shared his thoughts about the action film, Fighter

Previously, when Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor’s film, Fighter’s trailer was released, several Pakistani actors called out the aggressive and anti-Pakistani tone in the film. Among those, Adnan Siddiqui also penned his thoughts on the film, and said:

“Once celebrated for love, Bollywood now crafts hate-filled narratives, portraying us as villains. Despite our love for your films, it’s disheartening. Art transcends boundaries; let’s use it to promote love and peace. Two nations, victims of politics, deserve better.”

After Fighter crashed at the Indian box office, Adnan again took to his X (formerly Twitter) to share his opinion on the same. He asked the team of film not to insult the audience’s intelligence as they very well know how to recognise agendas. Further talking about the same, the Pakistani actor shared:

“A lesson to heed for Fighter team after your flop show: Do not insult your audience’s intelligence. They can discern agendas. Let entertainment be free from unnecessary politics.”
