From opening up about his acting career in Bollywood to working with some of the greatest Indian actors ever, Mushtaq Khan broke many illusions that people have in their minds about the world of glam and glitz in his unfiltered conversation.
After breaking the headlines with his revelation that he was paid less than Akshay Kumar's staff in the movie, Welcome. Mushtaq is once again right in the spotlight after his byte on the late legendary superstar, Rajesh Khanna has grabbed people's attention.

In a heart-to-heart conversation with Digital Commentary, Mushtaq Khan opened up about his experience working with legendary actor, Rajesh Khanna. The veteran actor revealed that he was fortunate enough to work with Rajesh Khanna at a time when he was simply ruling the film industry. Mushtaq added that he worked with Rajesh Khanna in the film, Thodisi Bewafaii, which was one of the most cherished experiences of his life. He said:
"I worked with Rajesh Khanna at the height of his stardom. You can't believe how it was. I would think to myself that I'm working with Rajesh Khanna."
Further, in the same conversation, Mushtaq Khan highlighted the heartbreaking difference he saw in Rajesh Khanna's peak stardom and in his last years. The veteran actor explained how there were not a lot of people around him when he worked with Rajesh Khanna in the film, Do Dilon Ke Khel Mein (2010).
Mushtaq Khan admitted that Rajesh was quite lonely in his last days, and it was when he realised one of life and the film industry's harsh truths that no matter how great you were once, it will pass. He said:
"I worked with the same Rajesh Khanna a few years before he passed away in a film called Do Dilon Ke Khel Mein. It was totally different. Nobody was there, nobody. This is life, this is (film) industry and you have to accept it. This is the same with everyone."

For the unversed, Rajesh Khanna passed away on July 18, 2012, in his bungalow, Ashirwad, in Mumbai. The actor was diagnosed with cancer back in 2011, and later, it metastasised to his liver, leading to his death. The iconic star left a massive void in Indian cinema at the age of 69, and Riyasat became his last film, which was released on his second death anniversary. Rajesh Khanna was the first superstar of Hindi cinema, who gave 15 consecutive hits from 1969 to 1971, cementing his status as one of the greatest Indian actors ever.
