Pakistani actress, Mahira Khan is known for her roles in the Bollywood film, Raees and the TV show, Humsafar. As per reports, she will be next seen in the Netflix series, Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo. Besides this, Mahira has also been riding high in her personal life. She got married for the second time to the love of her life, Salim Karim in Murree, Pakistan, on October 1, 2023. For the unversed, she was earlier married to her childhood sweetheart, Ali Askari, and they are blessed with a baby boy, Azlaan. But after eight years of marital bliss, they had parted ways. Afterwards, during a 2022 interview, Mahira confirmed dating Salim while talking with Samina Peerzada.
Taking to her IG handle, on October 5, 2023, Mahira Khan shared a series of pictures from her pre-wedding ceremonies. The initial pictures seemed to be from Mahira's mehendi ceremony amidst her close ones. In the pictures, she looked ravishing in a cream-coloured kurta with intricate embroidery near the neckline and sleeves. In addition, the kurta featured gota patti work all over it. She teamed her look with a matching sheer dupatta with broad borders and golden-hued pants. She completed her look with blushed cheeks, red-tinted lips and a middle-parted hairdo. She was also seen wearing a garland of flowers.

Alongside the pictures, Mahira also revealed who played what role during the biggest day of her life. She mentioned how her mother, who mainly operates from a wheelchair, looked after the entire decoration of her D-Day. The actress also mentioned that her mother was ready on time without being late. She penned:
"My mother had one wish… to start the wedding with a dua. My beautiful Ama, who is in a wheel chair - one would think she can’t do much - but really, she can do everything and anything. She sat and managed the decoration downstairs, the table, the moving around of furniture anddd she was ready dot on time.. Alhumdulillah for our parents."
Further, Mahira shared some stunning pictures from her Mayun Rasam, specially organised by her girlfriends, whom she called her sisters. For the unversed, Mayun Rasam is celebrated a day before mehndi, wherein a bride is prepared for the wedding by making her wear plain clothes, no make-up and oil in her hair, and she is denied leaving the house after this till her nikah. In the pictures shared by Mahira, she was seen wearing an orange-hued lehenga choli with a matching dupatta featuring broad, embroidered green borders. She looked simply ethereal and sharing them, she penned:
"Later on that day, my childhood girlfriends had a mayun for me. Alhumdulillah for friends I can call my sisters. P.S I took a bud of the motia and put it in my baali before going down.. for my Nani and Dadi."

On October 1, 2023, Mahira Khan got married to Salim Karim in Pakistan. In a few pictures and videos from the wedding, Mahira was seen walking down the aisle towards her groom, Salim, who was seen wiping his tears. Following this, as the groom walked towards her and lovingly lifted his ladylove's veil, he was also seen kissing Mahira's forehead, and the duo hugged each other. The bride too, got emotional and the moment was simply priceless. For the wedding, Mahira stunned in a pastel lehenga with a matching choli and a long veil. Along with her exquisite ensemble, Mahira opted for diamond jewellery. On the other hand, Salim looked dapper in a black sherwani paired with a blue turban.
