Mahira Khan recently hit the news for her rumoured pregnancy. As per multiple reports, the actress backed out from her debut Netflix project due to her pregnancy. This news came months after her wedding to Salim Karim, making it more believable. Before Salim, Mahira married Ali Askari, the duo had a son, Azlan.

After the speculations of her pregnancy were blown out of proportion, Mahira Khan issued an official statement. As per reports, the actress has shared with Express Tribune that she has not backed off from the Netflix series and is not pregnant. In Mahira's words:
"It's not true that I'm pregnant. And I haven't left the Netflix series."
Mahira Khan also had an interaction with one of her many fan pages and told them that the rumours about her pregnancy were not true. The Raees actress' fan page congratulated her on her first pregnancy with Salim, but the actress politely replied with 'not true'. Thus, putting a stop to further speculations about her pregnancy.

Mahira Khan's pregnancy rumours started when a Redditt user took to the discussion platform and shared that the actress has backed out from her Netflix project as she is expecting her first baby with Salim Karim. The post even shared that the baby may come around August-September, and the couple will soon announce the good news to their fans and well-wishers. The post can be read as:
"So, I got this news from a close source that she opted out of the esteemed Netflix project alongside a big film as she's expecting her second child somewhere in August or September. An announcement could be made soon or not if she chooses to announce it after birth but as she's a big celeb and can't keep it lowkey for long, I personally feel that she will announce."
Soon after Mahira Khan debunked all her pregnancy speculations, netizens took to the discussion platform and expressed their annoyance over the media and gossip pages for invading her privacy.
