Shah Rukh Khan, aka ‘Baadshah of Bollywood’, is one of the most prominent stars globally. He ventured into showbiz with television serials and emerged as one of the biggest superstars of contemporary times. The magnitude of SRK’s stardom could be measured by the fact that all his 2023 releases, Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki, earned crores at the box office. While King Khan rules the hearts of millions worldwide, his heart is ruled by one name, Gauri Khan. The couple has been married for 32 years now and has three children, Aryan, Suhana and AbRam.
Having a celebrity spouse makes life tougher than it seems, as rumours involving celebrities surface in the media every now and then. A similar thing happened with SRK and Gauri as well when the actor was accused of having an extramarital affair with Priyanka Chopra. Moreover, when Gauri appeared on the first season of Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee With Karan, in 2005, the host asked her if she ever felt insecure as Shah Rukh garners immense female attention every day.

Well, Gauri was a bit hesitant at first and mentioned that she generally does not like to answer these types of questions. Moreover, KJo even said if she does not feel like answering it, she can just skip it. However, Gauri responded to the filmmaker's questions very wittily. She said:
“I have an aversion to these questions. Since it's you, I totally go blank when people even want to ask me these questions, I get really irritated but anyway I pray to God everyday, little off track I’m gonna go that if we are not supposed to be together and he has to be with somebody else, then God help me also find somebody else also. And I hope he is handsome.”
This clip was recently shared on YouTube and netizens are in awe of Gauri’s answer and her honesty. One user penned, “Well said Gauri we are wasting our lives for someone who does not deserve our love.” Another one said, “She is always soft spoken and straight forward what she need to say.” A third one mentioned, “She is such a lovely lady, why would anyone think of finding somebody else.”

It has been almost two decades since this episode of Koffee With Karan was aired and SRK and Gauri will be celebrating their 33rd wedding anniversary in October 2024. Previously, during an interaction, Vivek Vaswani revealed that SRK and Gauri got married in 1991 following three different ceremonies. They had a registry marriage, and then a Hindu and a Muslim wedding ceremony. The producer said that all three marriages took place on the same day. However, according to previous reports, SRK and Gauri first registered marriage and then had a nikah ceremony, to pay homage to SRK’s roots. And then finally, the two opted for a Punjabi Hindu wedding, to celebrate their coming together.
