Gauahar Khan is one of the most talented actresses in Tinseltown. She is recognised equally for her popular stint in both television and films, and has carved a niche of her own. She made her debut with the film, Rocket Singh: Salesman Of The Year and thereafter, became a part of quite a few films such as Game, Ishaqzaade, Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya, Fever among others. She rose to fame with her stint in the popular reality show, Bigg Boss 7, wherein she emerged as a winner. In her personal life, she is married to actor, Zaid Darbar and the duo is blessed with their son, Zehaan.
Back in 2014, Gauahar Khan grabbed all the spotlight when the diva did a live performance for the finale of the reality show, India’s Raw Star. However, in a sudden turn of events, a man from the audience, Mohammad Akil Malik went up the stage and slapped the actress thrice, due to her short dress. Well, while he was immediately brought down by security personnel, and handed over to the police, the incident left a deep impact on Gauahar. Later, in a podcast interview, she recalled the same and said:
“Not just slapped me once, slapped me thrice. Of course, I still remember it. And I still know what it feels like. And how horrible that was. What kind of mindset do you have that you think its okay to hit, first of all an unnamed person, secondly a woman, thirdly someone who’s not caused you any harm. Just because something triggered you that you disagree with, of my opinion. You don’t become a bigger man by saying that I can hit you. Of course, you can hit me. You can hit anyone you want. You’ve two hands, but why would you do that? Why can’t you just turn your anger into love?”

Fast forward to now, Gauahar is fulfilling mommy duties for her son, Zehaan. However, she didn’t fail to chalk out time for herself, so that she recuperates well and returns to her work commitments soon after. For the unversed, she lost 10 kgs of weight postpartum naturally. However, such a milestone didn’t really get appreciated by many, and they trolled the actress for the same. Previously, in an interaction with India Today, Gauahar talked about the backlash she faced and said:
“How do I care? I lost weight naturally first of all. Within the first one month, I had already lost like 10 kgs that is not going to show immediately."
Not just postpartum, but Gauahar also faced a lot of criticism for her pregnancy journey overall. Back in April 2023, she hosted an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on her social media handle, wherein one of her fans asked her how she dealt with nonsense being said about her during her pregnancy journey. In her response, the actress gave a thoughtful answer and said:
“You have to do your part in life, if there's hurt caused, you apologise for the sake of peace (which I have done), if beyond that people still want a reason to vent and blame without any basis then it's their negative outlook and then you have to ignore! My efforts are always to spread love! That's what I'll always do! I send my love to all."

For the unversed, Gauahar Khan previously dated actor, Kushal Tandon. The duo dated for a couple of years before they called it splitsville. The news of her breakup had received a lot of backlash, and many even hinted that she broke up with Kushal owing to religious differences. In her response, the actress gave a befitting reply and claimed:
“Hey loser ! I’m a Muslim , and nobody can ban us from having our rights, India is secular, it’s a democracy, not a dictatorship like u would desire ! So stay put in the comfort of your American status, and stop inciting hate in my country!"
