Actress Suzanne Bernert’s world turned upside down after the tragic death of her husband, actor, Akhil Mishra. It was on September 21, 2023, when the untimely death of the 3 Idiots actor, Akhil Mishra shocked his fans. As per multiple reports, the actor was on a stool in the kitchen when he fell down and hurt his head.
Akhil was just 58 at the time of his death and was enjoying his married life with his actress wife, Suzanne Bernert. Akhil’s tragic death devasted Suzanne, and it took a toll on her. The actress slowly moved out of her grief and found love again. The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress is in a relationship with Arjun Hardas, based in Delhi.

In an interview with The Times of India, Suzanne spoke about her newfound love and how she connected with Arjun post the death of her husband, Akhil. Speaking about the same, Suzanne said:
“After Akhil’s passing, I had stopped meeting people apart from work. I spent most of my time confined at home. However, I pushed myself to travel to Delhi to attend a friend’s housewarming party last December. While I was in Delhi, Arjun connected with me, and we met. Soon we became friends and gradually grew closer. Today, we are in sync with each other emotionally and it feels like we’ve known each other for a long time.”

In the same interview, Suzanne talked about how difficult it was for her to fall in love all over again. Elaborating on the multiple emotions she underwent, Suzanne stated:
“It’s intriguing to discover how multiple emotions can coexist. Arjun understands whatever I am today is because of Akhil. He acknowledges Akhil is a part of me and the intention isn’t to replace him. Akhil was my beloved one, and I want his memory as an amazing human being and actor to live on.”
For the uninitiated, Akhil Mishra got married twice in his life. His first marriage was with a lady named Manju in 1983. However, after some years of their happy married life, in 1997, Manju passed away. After the demise of his first wife, Akhil Mishra fell in love with famous German actress Suzanne Bernert, and the duo had a court marriage on February 3, 2009. Later, on September 30, 2011, Akhil and Suzanne got married for the second time in a traditional Indian wedding.
On the work front, Suzanne was last seen in the show, Pyar Ka Pehla Naam: Radha Mohan.
