Alia Bhatt is currently one of the leading actresses in Bollywood. The 31-year-old diva has bagged a National award and 5 Filmfare Awards for her powerful performances in her films. However, time and again, Alia gets bashed for getting everything on her lap due to the immense support of filmmaker, Karan Johar. Once, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also took a sly dig at Alia in an old clip, which recently resurfaced on social media.
Recently, a video of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has surfaced online from the time when the actress was promoting her 2018 film, Fanney Khan, co-starring Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. In the video, Aishwarya talked about Alia Bhatt's journey in Bollywood and mentioned that the latter gets only good opportunities and work in her lap because of the support she gets from filmmaker, Karan Johar. Aishwarya said:
“I have said this to her (Alia Bhatt) also, ‘It’s fantastic for you’. The kind of support Karan (Johar) has given to her from the beginning, and to have that kind of an establishment with you is very comforting because you know it is not tough. You can have it all laid out for the longest time. And she smiled. It’s great where you as an actor know there are only good opportunities ahead.”

Further, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also praised Alia Bhatt for her good work and added that the latter has shown her skills in various movies. She added that Alia has been making out the best of the opportunities that are virtually thrown on her lap regularly. In Aish's words:
“But what’s nice is she (Alia Bhatt) is also doing good work, along with great opportunities which are virtually there literally on her lap, regularly.”
Soon after the post was shared on Reddit, the netizens flooded the comment section with their reactions. One user commented, "Aishwarya thank you for speaking this. It will go down in history books about Alia and Kjo jugalbandi. Imagine, the most beautiful woman in the world saying this proves just how much hand Kjo has in her career." Another wrote, "She can say this because she's part of the establishment and is above her. Many others could get their career ruined and sabotages over this."
