Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover are two of the most talented comedians in India currently. The duo have exceptional finesse in tickling the funny bones of their audiences, and are loved by millions for the same. They were a part of the show, Comedy Nights With Kapil for the longest time, before they had a spat of words while returning home after a shoot, post which Sunil quit the show. For the last six years, they maintained their animosity and never really talked with one another. However, it seems that the talented artists have thought about giving their bonding another chance.
Taking to his IG handle on December 2, 2023, Kapil Sharma announced a new show of his, that would come up on the streaming platform, Netflix. However, the most eye candy part of the glimpse was the moment when Sunil Grover can be seen sharing the frame with Kapil. Well, it is evident that the two of them have reunited after six years of fallout, and are coming together for a show. The show will also feature other talented artists, including Archana Puran Singh, Kiku Sharda, Rajiv Thakur and Krushna Abhishek.

For those who don’t know, Kapil and Sunil had a major fallout when, along with some other members of their team, they were returning to Mumbai from Melbourne on a 12-hour long flight. Reportedly Kapil was already drunk and was behaving badly with everyone. Moreover, things went bad when everyone was served food by cabin crew. Kapil grew angry seeing his team members starting to eat before him, and he rebuked them for the same. But when Sunil Grover tried to step in and explain to Kapil, the latter immediately took off his shoe and hit him. According to several eye witnesses, Kapil even held Sunil’s collar and slapped him.
In a previous interview with the Hindustan Times, Sunil Grover reacted to Kapil Sharma’s claims of arriving at a truce with the former, and even inviting him back to The Kapil Sharma Show. Sunil clearly denied all possibilities of him reprising his character of ‘Gutthi’ in the show again. He further admitted not being aware of Kapil Sharma’s statements about the same, and on the contrary added that he was instead quite enjoying experimenting with films.

In a previous interaction, Kapil Sharma opened up about his fight with Sunil Grover. The actor admitted that he had an impulsive behaviour and claimed that right from the first day of their Australia tour, he was in a very bad mood. Elaborating more, he said:
“Main batana chahta hoon ki Australia pohchte hi phele din se hi mera mood bahut kharab tha. Hum film shoot karrahe the, film ke dauraan hamare ek artist the unki death hogayi. Mere saath raat ko scene karrahe hain agle din unki death hogayi. Main itna negative hogaya, nervous tha. Mera bachpan ka dost hai, usko maine daanta tha, usko maine gaaliyan di thi, kyuki hum bachpan se ladte aarahe hi. Kabhi news nahi aayi kyu ki mashoor dono nahi the. Usne bhi mujhe 5-6 di.”
