As the first teaser of 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' was released, reports stated that actress, Yami Gautam will play a pivotal role in the film.
Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar received a lot of positive reviews, and Aditya Dhar released the teaser of Part 2, titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge. After the teaser was released, some social media users expressed disappointment, saying it was similar to the old post-credit scene from Part 1. However, amid the teaser release, there is a buzz that actress, Yami Gautam will play an important role in part 2.
According to a report from Pinkvilla, Yami Gautam will appear in a special role in part 2, titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge. It is said to be a cameo role, but Yami’s role is crucial to the narrative. As per the source:
“Yami’s role is action-packed and extremely crucial to the narrative. She has already shot for nearly 5 days, and though it’s a cameo, it’s an important part that will leave the audience amazed.”
Earlier, in an interview with News18, Yami Gautam revealed that when she first read the script, she told her husband it was one of those rare moments when she wished she were a guy, as she wanted to be part of the movie Dhurandhar. Yami praised the brilliant script and called it an amazing project, adding that she knows the fine line between professional and personal spaces shouldn't be blurred. For the unversed, Yami was mentioned in the movie's credits.
There are many stories about Dhurandhar Part 2, and a recent report by Mid-Day claimed that a source close to Aditya Dhar revealed that Dhurandhar 2 will show the personal life of Arjun’s ruthless character. For the unversed, Arjun Rampal plays the role of ‘Major Iqbal’, who is shown as the mastermind behind all the at***ks in the film. He is the main antagonist in the film. If reports are to be believed, Arjun's character is influenced by Ilyas Kashmiri, a Pakistani militant, who was once known as 'new Osama bin Laden'.
Dhurandhar 2 is all set to hit the theatres on March 19, 2026. It will clash with Yash’s film, Toxic. Talking about the cast, Dhurandhar 2 will bring back the core cast, including Ranveer Singh, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and more. It has also been reported that Akshaye Khanna will appear in the sequel in flashback scenes. Dhurandhar 2 is expected to be darker and will also feature the real story of Ranveer Singh’s character, Jaskirat Singh Rangi.
