The story of Wicked: For Good continues the emotional journey of two characters, 'Glinda' (Ariana Grande) and 'Elphaba' (Cynthia Erivo). The movie picks up the events of the first movie, where the friendship of the central characters comes to an end due to political pressure, misunderstanding and fear.
In the latest movie, 'Glinda' has become a popular face in Oz. She is seen as a symbol of goodness and hope. People often invite her to public appearances and ceremonies. Despite the attention and recognition, she also struggles with emotional conflicts. She misses her friend, 'Elphaba' and reflects on the decisions that broke their friendship.

The much-loved musical movie will start streaming soon on the OTT giant, JioHotstar. If reports are to be believed, Ariana Grande's highly-anticipated film will premiere from March 21, 2026, onwards on the OTT platform. Reportedly, the movie will stream in both Hindi and English. Talking about the cast of the musical, apart from the global singer, it also features Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Bower Yang, Michelle Yeoh and more. To announce the same, JioHotstar wrote on Instagram:
"We saw how it began, now we find out how it ends. Wicked: For Good, arrives March 21 in English and Hindi on The Peacock Hub on JioHotstar."
For those who do not know, Wicked: For Good was a blockbuster success at the box office. If reports are believed to be true, the much-loved movie earned over USD 527 million worldwide. Since it was made on a budget of USD 150 million, it is considered to be one of the highest-grossing films of 2025. The box office numbers were proof that the audience connected with the emotional narrative and strong performances by actors.
In February 2025, Ariana Grande had a conversation with Dave Karger during the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, during which she opened up about her movie, Wicked: For Good. Calling the film 'special' and 'emotional', the singer-turned-actor mentioned that the first film was about choice and this one is about consequence. In her words:
"Well, it's very special. It's very emotional. I think the second movie really embodies unconditional love and forgiveness and friendship. And you'll have to wait and see, but it is quite different. And you get to see people reap the... bear the repercussions for their choices that they make in movie one. So if movie one is about choices, movie two is about consequences."
