Why Was Dalton Eatherly Arrested? Inside Nashville Incident And Charges Against 'ChudTheBuilder'

Dalton Eatherly, better known as ChudTheBuilder online, once again made news for his unexpected antics. He was allegedly arrested after he refused to pay a restaurant bill. In turn, the incident led to a major disturbance in the area, increasing the content creator's problems. Needless to say, the whole incident has quickly gone viral, especially because ChudTheBuilder was already facing criticism for his controversial livestreaming. Why was ChudTheBuilder arrested? 

According to the police documents, Dalton Eatherly was taken into custody on May 9, 2026. It happened after the officers responded to a complaint at Bob's Steak and Chop House inside the Omni Hotel in Nashville. Authorities revealed that the streamer had been livestreaming inside the restaurant despite repeated requests from management to stop. Some police reports cited by The Tennessean stated that the restaurant staff became concerned when they realised that Dalton was broadcasting content live from the venue. In turn, the management and security repeatedly asked him to stop.

But the situation escalated with the streamer. According to the arrest affidavit, ChudTheBuilder ordered two entrees, cocktails, and appetisers. In turn, he had a total of USD 371 to pay. Police claimed that after the staff tried to remove him from the restaurant, he remained disruptive by yelling racial remarks inside the establishment. According to the documents, he allegedly told the staff, "I'm not paying if you are kicking me out," before leaving the restaurant without paying the bill. Later, officers located him walking near Broadway and 2nd Avenue South in downtown Nashville.

When authorities tried to arrest ChudTheBuilder, he allegedly resisted for sometime. He pulled his arm away from the officers before he was detained without further problems. Due to all these happenings, he faces multiple charges, including theft of services, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. In fact, the incident has grabbed more attention due to ChudTheBuilder's controversial history.

ChudTheBuilder's Kick account was permanently suspended

It is not the first time ChudTheBuilder has gotten into trouble. Earlier, his controversial actions led Kick to remove his account. For those unaware, they received several complaints about his content and behaviour during public livestreams. According to reporters and statements, Kick had initially suspected ChudTheBuilder's account after one of his older videos surfaced on the platform. It showed him filming strangers in public despite their multiple requests for him to stop.

In turn, he was accused of harassment and provoking conflicts over content. Eventually, Kick increased the punishment by permanently banning his account. They even removed his verification badge and disabled monetisation features linked to his profile. At the same time, his appeal against the action was denied. Despite losing the platform, ChudTheBuilder claimed he would move his livestreaming activities to another platform, Pump.fun.

Dalton Eatherly, better known as ChudTheBuilder, originally hails from Tennessee. He has worked as a contractor in addition to his online streaming activities. The content creator has built his identity using "IRL" livestream videos. These videos often feature confrontational public interactions. Several of his broadcasts are also focused on arguments and heated debates with strangers in public. Some viewers support his content for its unfiltered, raw nature. But critics argued that he intentionally provoked people for attention and engagement. Many of these clips feature racial slurs and aggressive exchanges that often went viral in 2025.
