Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda are on cloud nine after their marriage on February 26, 2026. After years of keeping their relationship hidden from the media, they officially posted pictures from their marriage, giving everyone a glimpse of their fairy tale love story. Though the dreamy pictures blew us away, it was Rashmika’s all-gold look that did all the talking.
Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda tied the knot as per traditional Andhra rituals. She opted for an all-gold look instead of any precious gemstones or diamonds. The reason behind it was that in South Indian weddings, diamonds are least preferred as they contain cold energy.
While weddings require warm and grounding energy, gold does the needful, while diamonds bring the opposite energy. Not just this, gold is also considered auspicious, and this is one of the reasons why South Indian brides opt for gold. It not only keeps their energy radiant and warm, but is also believed to be auspicious for their big day.
For her wedding, Rashmika donned a rust-coloured saree, which she teamed up with gold jewellery from Shree Jewellers. She wore a multi-layered gold haaram with gold beads, a fitted necklace with a huge choker in the middle. She teamed it up with a gold matha-patti, kamarband, jhumkas and gold bangles.
After Vijay and Rashmika shared the official pictures from their wedding ceremony, one of the glimpses showed the actress getting tear-eyed. It was while Vijay was tying the traditional yellow thread mangalsutra that Rashmika couldn’t hold back her emotions. Her well-up eyes spoke volumes about the emotions she felt during that time.
Post the wedding rituals, Vijay Deverakonda’s younger brother, Anand Deverakonda, took to his Instagram handle and shared pictures from the ‘VIROSH’ wedding. Rashmika. Along with the beautiful pictures, Anand wrote a special heartfelt note for his 'Vadina'. For the unversed, in Telugu, 'Vadina' is a sister-in-law. In the note, Anand mentioned Rashmika as a person who is positive and compassionate. Sharing his feelings, Anand wrote:
“There were so many times when fans would shout, ‘Vadina, ela unaru?’ and I never quite knew how to react. Today, my brother is married, and I’ve gained the most positive and compassionate person as my Vadina. I pray that for the rest of their lives, they continue to smile just like this. To a lifetime together!"
As Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda began the most beautiful chapter of their lives, the actress formally introduced Vijay to her fans as her husband. Sharing an array of pictures from their intimate wedding ceremony, she penned that it was Vijay who taught her what true love was. Not just this, she also heaped praises on Vijay for making her believe in herself and dreaming big.
