Netflix has dropped the trailer of Bridgerton Season 4's Part 2, and we can clearly say a silence has fallen over the Ton. The latest trailer has left viewers worried, with figures in mourning black, sad faces, and what appears to be a funeral procession. Within hours, it has already entered deep theory mode, with fans convinced that a major death in Part 2 would not leave viewers heartbroken but might instead highlight the leads for Bridgerton Season 5. Amid the speculation, let's understand two possible theories behind the same.

Who will die in Bridgerton Season 4, Part 2?

Since the trailer for Bridgerton 4, part 2 showcased a funeral scene, viewers have been discussing two major possibilities of death on the show. The first and most talked about possibility is 'John Stirling'. According to the novels, 'John's death is the turning point that opens the door for 'Francesca Bridgerton' to fall in love with her cousin, 'Michaela Stirling'. If the show follows a similar storyline, there is a high possibility that the trailer could be 'John's setting up on 'Francesca' and 'Michaela' as the emotional core of Season 5.

On the other hand, some netizens believe that the funeral could belong to 'Marina Thompson'. According to the books, her death makes the way for 'Eloise Bridgerton' to connect with 'Phillip Crane. However, fans argue that the entire Bridgerton family attending 'Marina's funeral is less likely given the show's social norms. Furthermore, it hints back towards 'John,' but there is no confirmation on the same. Irrespective of the death, it can change the whole storyline going forward.

What is the possible plot for Bridgerton 4, Part 2?

Bridgerton 2, Season 4 is based on 'Benedict Benedict' and his romance with 'Sophie Baek'. The part ended with his controversial request that 'Sophie' become his mistress rather than his wife, which she refuses because it mirrors her mother's painful past. Consequently, part 2 might bring about the unmasking, in which 'Benedict' learns that 'Sophie' is the mysterious 'Lady in Silver' from the masquerade. At the same time, class tension, her closeness to her cruel stepfamily next door, and 'Francesca's growing emotional conflict with 'Michaela' all collide. Moreover, 'Violet's late-life romance and 'Eloise's uncertain future add a further emotional layer. Sharing his views to Tudum, Luke Thompson who plays 'Benedict' said:
