At the same time, everyone has sent their condolences over Mg's death. Meanwhile, some of them also recalled her late husband, Harry Shannin, who played an important role in Kris Jenner's life and was affectionately known as "Papa Harry" by the Kardashian clan.
Harry Shannon was an American businessman and the third husband of Mary Jo "MJ" Shannon. They met after her marriage to Robert Houghton ended, who was Kris Jenner's biological father. Eventually, the couple's life revolved around family and business. They were married for nearly four decades until his death. Meanwhile, there is no confirmed picture of him available on the internet today.
The couple also ran Shannon and Company, a children's clothing boutique in La Jolla, California. In turn, the business became an important part of the family's story. Kris Jenner used to work there during her teenage years. Later, Kim also credited the boutique with teaching her the value of hard work through her first job.
Although Harry was Kris Jenner's stepmother, she often called him "my dad". He married MJ when Kris was young and has since become a constant source of love, support, and guidance. He also developed a good bond with Kris's children, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Rob, Kendall, and Kylie, who called him "Papa Harry".
On different occasions, many family members shared their happy memories with Harry, including spending the summer with him in San Diego to learn life lessons.
Harry Shannon was involved in a serious car accident in 2003 that left him hospitalized with serious injuries. But when he was recovering, he developed a staph infection and later died due to complications. In turn, his sudden death affected his family, and Kris called the loss "devastating". When Harry was hospitalized, Kris stepped in to help run the family boutique to ensure MJ could stay with Harry.
More than two decades after Harry's death, MJ died on July 16, 2026. She was 91 at the time. Kris Jenner took to her Instagram handle to share an emotional tribute to her late mother. She thanked MJ for her unconditional love, wisdom, and strength. Although the family did not share her cause of death, they have continued to send their condolences to the Kardashians-Jenner family. In Kris' words:
"Every memory, every moment, every blessing, it was all because of you, and I will forever thank God every single day for making you my mommy. My heart is broken into a million pieces… thank you for giving me the greatest childhood, and oh what a beautiful, blessed life. I love you forever, Mommy. Thank you for giving us everything."
