Viral TikTok star, Epic Gamer Grandma, passed away at the age of 78. She was suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary disease.
In a piece of heartbreaking news, Agnes, who was widely known as the Epic Gamer Grandma, took her last breath on December 21, 2025. Epic Gamer Grandma passed away at the age of 78. The news of her demise was confirmed by Culsan, who is her grandson. Culsan shared that his Epic Gamer Grandma passed away while holding the hand of Pauline, her daughter.
Epic Gamer Grandma was a famous TikTok star with around 3 million followers. Her grandson, Culan, had shared an official statement on her Instagram handle, announcing the demise of his beloved grandmother. She had a peaceful death and left this world the way she lived in it: surrounded by love. Culan, in his note, called his Epic Gamer Grandma the strongest woman, and now that she has passed away, the family has been mourning in grief.
Epic Gamer Grandma's grandson, Culan, after two months, revealed previously unheard details about his grandmother's health. He explained why his grandmother was not active on the social media. Culan reportedly, in an October 2025 post, shared that his grandmom's Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease had worsened significantly, and the family had to call for an ambulance. Culan then shared an update that his grandmother had 'suffered a major stroke' and was also undergoing heavy treatment.
According to a Times Of India report, Agnes had to be hospitalised in October 2025 because of her Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease issue. Culan had requested her fans to pray for her speedy recovery. Culan then, in November 2025, shared another health update about his grandmother, which was again worrisome. It hinted that his grandmother may not return home from the hospital.
Apart from having more than two million followers on her TikTok, Epic Gamer Grandma has 858,000 followers on her Instagram and around 117,000 followers reportedly on her YouTube channel. Some of her clips have shown her playing classic games such as Minecraft and Phasmophobia.
Culan also posted a monochrome snap on his Instagram Stories with his Epic Gamer Grandma. She was seen wearing a t-shirt with her name while Culan wore a mask and posed with her. The snap was all things heartbreaking. When Culan announced that his grandmother is no more, he addressed her as an influencer, beloved mom, grandmother, neighbour, and also a friend. Culan described his grandmother as someone who made sure everyone else was fed before herself. She was also known for remembering birthdays.
Epic Gamer Grandma's grandson, Culan, in his note, mentioned that he and the full family have been proud of Epic Gamer Grandma. They are proud to know the woman she was long before anyone knew her online. Culan described his grandmother as an amazing mother who had held the full family together. He was also proud of the way Epic Gamer Grandma spent her later years, proving that life does not end at a certain age; it only changes. Culan wants to remember his grandmother best as someone who would tell stories and always laugh. A part of his note read:
"And then, somehow, in the middle of all that, she became something none of us expected: Scotland's biggest elderly creator. People from all over the world started calling her epic gamer grandma, but to us, she was still just nana making us tea, telling us stories, and laughing at the absurdity of it all."
Culan, in his note, shared further about the lessons he had learnt from Agnes. He praised Epic Gamer Grandma for showing her fans that the online gaming space was not just for the young people. Culan wrote about how Epic Gamer Grandma showed that you can be in your seventies and still find new communities, new friendships, and new ways to express yourself. Epic Gamer Grandma gave a reminder to people that elders are not invisible. They have stories, humour, opinions, and so much love left to give.
