Natalie already has two children: a son named Aleph and a daughter named Amalia, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Benjamin Millepied. According to the latest reports, Natalie welcomed her first baby with partner Tanguy Destable.
A source told People that Natalie and Tanguy welcomed their baby last month, in August 2026, in Paris. Amid this, the focus has shifted towards Natalie’s partner, Tanguy.
Natalie Portman’s partner, Tanguy Destable, is a native of Morlaix, France. By profession, he is an electronic music producer who goes by the stage name Tepr. Back in 2015, Tanguy released his first album. In a 2016 interview with The French Shuffle, Tanguy revealed that he grew up in a small town in Brittany, France. He explained that as he grew up in a small town, he could not find anyone who was interested in making music with him. He said:
"I grew up in a small town in Brittany in the 90s, and it was hard to find band members ... so I decided to buy a sampler and synth to replace the drummer and bass player. I couldn't find anyone, and do it all by myself."
Before releasing his first album, Tanguy collaborated with well-known French bands like Yelle and singer Woodkid. He also performed at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. After that, he released three more albums, Technosensible, Dance Works 2015-2018 and La nuit se traine (Bande originale du film). Later, in 2023, the French musician worked with Lady Gaga for a film with Dom Pérignon. He also helped to create the score for movies like I’m Still Here (Je suis toujours la).
In March 2025, French outlet Voici reported that Natalie and the music producer Tanguy had started dating. At that moment, the Daily Mail published photos of the couple together and PEOPLE confirmed their romance. In the pictures, Tanguy was seen walking with his arm around Natalie’s shoulder and kissing the top of her head. Before finding love with Natalie, Tanguy was married to French actress Louise Bourgoin, who is best known for films like The Extraordinary Adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec and shows like Interns.
After a year-long romance, Natalie confirmed that she was pregnant in an April 2026 interview with Harper's Bazaar. The actress shared that she and her partner Tanguy were very excited to embrace parenthood. She called pregnancy a "beautiful, joyous thing." Natalie added that she's cherishing "every moment" of her pregnancy. She was quoted as saying:
"Tanguy and I are very excited. I'm just very grateful. I know it's such a privilege and a miracle. I know how lucky it is. I'm very aware, and I'm very grateful. I have deep appreciation and gratitude."
In the same interview, Natalie explained that as a person gets older, they become grateful and more aware of what truly matters. She highlighted that this might be her last pregnancy experience. She said:
"There is a gratitude that when you’re young, you don’t necessarily grasp. And there’s a calm and knowing myself: who I want to spend time with, what kind of energy I want around me that makes the experience so beautiful every day. And knowing it’s probably the last time, I cherish every moment."
