Nandini CM's passing has sent shockwaves across the country. Read on to know all about her boyfrined, who intimated her PG manager when she didn't pick his phone calls.
Kannada television actress, Nandini CM was just 26 years old when she took her life. As per reports, she died on December 29, 2025, at around 3:45 a.m. The police were informed about the incident at around 9:15 in the morning. As the investigations are underway, her fans want answers to what was wrong in the life of Nandini, which prompted her to take the drastic step.
Nandini CM was a Kannada and Tamil television actress who was loved for her dual role in the Tamil serial, Gowri. Talking about her personal life, she was the elder daughter of a government teacher, S Mahabaleshwar. He was from Kotturu in Vijaynagara district and passed away in 2021.
Nandini completed her pre-university education in 2018 in Ballari. Later, she enrolled in a BE course at RR Institute in Hesaraghatta, Bengaluru. However, she dropped out of college to pursue acting. According to police officials, she began training for performing arts in Rajarajeshari Nagar. In 2019, she got her breakthrough and played different characters in hit television serials. All this time, she lived in a paying guest facility in Bengaluru.
Talking about her love life, as per reports, she was dating Puneet. While not much is known about him, Nandini visited Puneet at his home in the evening and returned to the PG facility around 11:23 p.m. Later, she locked herself in her room, number 202. When Puneet tried reaching her, she didn't respond. He was the one who contacted her PG manager, Kumar, and in-charge, Kiran. When they checked on her and received no response, they opened the door and discovered Nandini's body in her room, as per the police. The PG in-charge, Kiran immidately called the emergency helpline 112, and the police arrived. Her mother was informed about her passing and she arrived with relatives at around 8 in the morning.
After the investigation, authorities recovered a suicide note at the scene. As per a report by News18, Nandini was in emotional distress and intense pressure as her family had marriage expectations for her. As per preliminary police information, it is worth mentioning that in her last note before death, she mentioned struggling with depression and personal issues. However, the investigations are still underway.
As per the police, the suicide note is an important piece of evidence as they further investigate the case. It is worth mentioning that no further details and factors contributing to this major step have been revealed. Meanwhile, statements from family members and close associates are being recorded.
Another report that is making rounds on the internet claims that Nandini CM was offered her father's government job in 2023, but she refused the same, as she wanted to pursue her acting dream. So, she moved to Insta Living PG in August 2025. According to a report in The Indian Express, the police found pages in Nandini's diary expressing distress over family pressure to accept a government job instead of pursuing acting. However, the mother in her statement stated that she doesn't suspect anyone's role in her daughter's death.
